Re: saving money
I read on another board that someone had a horrible time dealing with FinaWireless, so I would be careful.
Re: Ringtones
This is great!! I was looking into getting a Voyager soon and was wondering how to get free ringtones. I haven't paid for a ringtone in a LONG time...lol I have read in a lot of different FAQs for different phones that BitPim is needed to crop/format the files but I always found a way around it using WavePad.
Thank you for posting this! When I get my Voyager, I'll be using this tutorial.
Re: YES or NO?
Texting is indeed a lot easier than calling someone.
Take this into consideration: You are out but plans change suddenly. You need to let 5 of your friends know where the new meeting place will be. You could either take the 10 minutes and call each one individually or you can send out 5 texts at the same time so they all get it within seconds.
Honeslty, EVERYONE texts and if you claim that you don't then you're ...
Re: Roaming
hybrids roam on the 1900 netwrok but not the 800 netowrk
Re: phone might be great but coverage is horrible
Once SprintNextel comes out with the phones that have HPPTT in Q1 2008, everything will be better! the hybrids are just to unclog the iDEN side of the company.
Re: How do I load pictures or MP3 sounds
if you use Motorola Phone Tools you can upload ringtones and photos. the ic502 does support MP3 files cause i have tons of tomes on my phone.
Re: Roaming
this phone does roam
Re: A couple of Q's.
The ic502 uses both a SIM and a serial number (like other CDMA phones) the SIM is for the direct connect (not voice). The serial number is used for voice and data.
Re: Not a fan
Nextel does have bluetooth phones.
Re: mp3 player
Use the card adapter that came with your microSD. I have a USB cable/card reader, use this to open the files on your card and just drag and drop songs into your files.

Is there a specific size for the picture files?
Does the phone auto-fit the pic?
Re: Just sum questions on the i875 boost
1. I charge my phone evry 2-3 days (just depends on how long oyu use the MP3 player)

Re: Does anyone know how to upload mpeg video to the Nextel i870? Thanks
www.i870.org
Re: itunes
As long as you have the song saved to ur computer you can just drag them to the phones folder.
Re: NEW NEXTEL PHONE
I read on a forum that a new phone will be coming out, its the i880 i think. I definately know that Boost has one coming out (i885) and Nextel usually has the same thing.
Re: i875 turn off problem
Your best bet would be to bring it to a Sprint/Nextel store.
Re: Help on the mp3 player
As long as you have the MP3's in a folder you can just drag them to the audio folder for your phone.
Re: Please, help with uploading mpeg videos to Boost i875.
I got all my videos from a web forum (www.i870.org) and they were already in the 3GP format. If u join the forum they tell u EVERYTHING you need ot know about the phone. I now have about 12 videos on my phone because of them.
Re: Please, help with uploading mpeg videos to Boost i875.
Needs to be in 3GP format.
Re: Does anyone know how to upload mpeg video to the Nextel i870? Thanks
Video files for the i870 need to be in 3GP format to play on the phone.
Re: mp3 to ring tone
Unfortunately, all ringtones need to be downloaded DIRECTLY to the phone. I tried, myself, many times to put songs on my memory card and transfer them to my phone to use as ringtones. Each time ended in failure. You'll need WebJAL as I mentioned before.
Re: mp3 to ring tone
I've never tried doing that. Its a possibility.
Re: mp3 to ring tone
I'm pretty sure you can Bluetooth from another carrier. My friend sent me a pic from his phone via Bluetooth.
Re: mp3 to ring tone
You can Bluetooth pics to your phone but the can't be used as wallpaper. If you use WebJAL, you can put pics onto your phone and use them as wallpapers, caller ID, ect.
Re: I can't figure it out!!
If you want an MP3 on your phone, highlight the song and press the menu button. You'll get a list of options, just select "Move to Phone" and the song will transfer to your phone.
Re: mp3 to ring tone
Yes, you need the program and cable to download ringtones. Go here www.geocities.com/nextelringtoneman to download software that converts MP3 files to Wav files.
Re: mp3 to ring tone
MP3 songs can't be used as ringtones (I found out the hard way myself). They need to be WAV files and downloaded onto the phone.
Re: I can't figure it out!!
First, format your card from your phone. Open up the memory card door on the side of your phone and insert the memory card (gently push in). While iun the Media Center hit the menu button, go to Memory Card, then select Format Card. This readies the memory card to be loaded. There's a USB cable and a Card adaptor that came with the phone. Simply put the micro card into the card adaptor ...
Re: mp3 to ring tone
I used WebJAL to put the WAV files onto my phone. You'll need a USB cable to download them to your phone. If you don't have one, check out ebay. I got mine for about $25. It pays for itself (I have 28 ringtones on my phone). Most cables come with a CD that also has ringtones, wallpapers, programs, ect. Check it out.
Re: mp3 to ring tone
Go to: www.geocities.com/nextelringtoneman
There's an amazing program you have to download that converts MP3 ringtone to WAV ringtones. I used it and i now have 28 ringtones!
Re: i870 v i860
I have the i875 (for BOOST) and I charge my phone about every 2 days. As for the camera, it looks amazing for a camera on a phone. The pics are clear. My phone doesn't have an alarm but I used the datebook as an alarm.
Re: Anyone Know...
I'm pretty sure you can as long as you have the memory card to support them.
Re: bluetooth headset and DC??
Apparently, you still need to use the PTT button when using the DC function.
Re: ringtones
I got s CD that has LOADS of ringtones on it and I can put them right onto my phone. Check ebay for the CD's.
