Ok, after all my searching, reading, and testing ..... the solution was right in front of my eyes.

I was trying to find a way to get my custom (MP3 file) ringtones over so I could use them on my Voyager. The only things I needed where my card reader, Micro-SD card, and my little $ 5 a month, 250 Txt/Pix messaging plan from Verizon.

I just loaded the ringtones from my computer (Mac, but I'm sure a PC would be the same) onto my card using the card reader (putting them under the Sounds category). You should be able to load all of them at one time. On your phone, they will then show up in the "Sounds" category, found under the "Get It Now" section. Rather than using Bitpim (which gave me "issues"), I just sent a "Picture" Message from my c...

This is great!! I was looking into getting a Voyager soon and was wondering how to get free ringtones. I haven't paid for a ringtone in a LONG time...lol I have read in a lot of different FAQs for different phones that BitPim is needed to crop/format the files but I always found a way around it using WavePad.

Thank you for posting this! When I get my Voyager, I'll be using this tutorial.

i3cubed,
works like a charm ! I got one of the first Voyagers in San Diego last week, and have been struggling all week trying to find a EASIER way ("issues" with BitPim). Then found out Verizon had switched my TXT/PIX messaging plan when I bought the Voyager, so that had me thinking this (PIX messaging it from my phone back to my own cell number) method wouldn't work. Once they got me back on the right plan, it works GREAT.

I have all of my own Ringtones already made up (using Audacity {free} editor, and my Itunes to convert some of them back to MP3 from the WAV format I originally found them as), so it was just a matter of getting them over from my Micro-SD to the Voyager's internal memory. This works great for me.
