I was trying to find a way to get my custom (MP3 file) ringtones over so I could use them on my Voyager. The only things I needed where my card reader, Micro-SD card, and my little $ 5 a month, 250 Txt/Pix messaging plan from Verizon.
I just loaded the ringtones from my computer (Mac, but I'm sure a PC would be the same) onto my card using the card reader (putting them under the Sounds category). You should be able to load all of them at one time. On your phone, they will then show up in the "Sounds" category, found under the "Get It Now" section. works like a charm ! I got one of the first Voyagers in San Diego last week, and have been struggling all week trying to find a EASIER way ("issues" with BitPim). Then found out Verizon had switched my TXT/PIX messaging plan when I bought the Voyager, so that had me thinking this (PIX messaging it from my phone back to my own cell number) method wouldn't work. Once they got me back on the right plan, it works GREAT.
I have all of my own Ringtones already made up (using Audacity {free} editor, and my Itunes to convert some of them back to MP3 from the WAV format I originally found them as), so it was just a matter of getting them over from my Micro-SD to the Voyager's internal memory. This works great for me.
