$12 additional on phone and maybe $7 taxes on first month's bill - not too concerned with that. Just wondering if everything will work or not.

HELP (someone w/experience in VZW phone sales)
Nov 2, 2009, 7:26 PM
in the Motorola Droid forum

I recently upgraded to a Blackberry Tour on Verizon and am ready to jump ship aka pick up a Moto Droid. I'm wondering if I add a new line of service on to my current family plan, keep the phone for a few days past the cancellation period, and cancel, I'd have the following costs: $199 - Moto Droid phone $175 - cancellation fee $40 - 1 month of add a line + data plan (10+30) I used to work at Best ...

Bluetooth question
Jan 19, 2008, 12:28 PM
in the Article: Government Urged to Research Cell Phone Radiation Effects forum

Maybe this is a stupid question but I am going to ask it anyway. Is Bluetooth a safe alternative if you do believe the radiation on your cell phone will have an effects on your health, or would a corded headset be the way to go? I'm not saying that cell phones emit bad radiation or anything, but I am just curious if anyone knows about this at all. Thanks.

HELP! Moto Q9c/Blackberry Decision
Nov 30, 2007, 10:04 AM
in the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 forum

I am a Sprint user and I can upgrade on Jan 1 '08. I am really on the fence if I should pick up either the Blackberry 8130 (Pearl 2), a Moto Q9c, or if I should just wait until Feb and grab the Blackberry Curve (friend that works for Sprint said it would be out mid/late Feb). If the Curve comes out any later than Feb, I more than likely will not wait for it. I am wondering if ...

AT&T = LAGGERS

I wouldn't call that monopolizing at all - I would simply call it AT&T having SERIOUS lagging issues. this is just a reason why you should never have AT&T...true fact

Re: What's the point (for us consumers)
Apr 24, 2007, 2:17 PM
in the Article: Best Buy To Open More Mobile Locations forum

The point for us consumers is to give us more choices and lower prices. I have a good friend that currently works in the cell phone department for Best Buy, and he showed me how much lower Best Buy offers consumers phones than the regular Sprint, Verizon, and Cingular stores. For example, an "enV" phone at Best Buy was $99.99 last week and it is still $149.99 (after rebates) at the VZW store. I think this is a ...

Cingular = fake PTT
Jan 31, 2007, 2:48 PM
in the Article: Cingular Now Offers PTT By The Minute forum

From my understanding of what Cingular's PTT really is, it's almost same process as regular phone call - long delay as well. Correct me if I'm wrong - I've never used Cingular's PTT service (never will use Cingular either) and am going off what I've heard and read.

Treo 650 vs 700p (Sprint) - should I upgrade
Dec 13, 2006, 2:45 PM
in the Palm Treo 700p forum

I currently have a Treo 650 with Sprint and I love the phone as well as the service. I am thinking about maybe upgrading to the 700p. I would sell my 650 and probably end up spending about $200 to upgrade. What are the main differences and do you think it's worth me upgrading? Thanks for the help!

Zlauncher question
Jul 7, 2006, 12:17 PM
in the Palm Treo 650 (CDMA) forum

If anyone has Zlauncher, can you tell me if it's worth the download? Few of my friends rave about it and I'm just wondering what everyone else's opinion is about the application. Also, will it show the contacts in first name, last name format (i.e. Jon Smith instead of Smith, Jon). That's the 1 thing that pisses me off about the Treo 650 and, to my understanding there's no other way with the standard software to change ...

Yea that wouldn't be a bad idea then...probably cheaper because you'd save money getting your daughters phones. Hopefully you enjoy the phone when you purchase it.

Re: Cheaper to buy phone outright

in the Article: Verizon Launches First 3.2 Megapixel Camera Phone forum

Even so, it will still cost you a lot of $$ $10/month * 24 months = $240 Phone itself w/2yr contract = $350 (more than this price after a mail in rebate I would assume) You're looking at $590 over 2 years when you can just purchase it full price (as long as the listed price on website is outright) at $400. Either way you look at it, I think you'd definitely save money buying it outright versus signing a new 2 yr ...

Cheaper to buy phone outright
Jul 6, 2006, 1:15 PM
in the Article: Verizon Launches First 3.2 Megapixel Camera Phone forum

Just keep in mind that it might be cheaper to actually just buy the phone outright: Up to a Family plan (assuming you have cheapest plans): +$30/month ($39.99 individual to $69.99 family) 2 years: $30*24 = $720 Not to mention the $350 or so the phone would cost you It may seem like not so much at first to add another line of service, but in all reality it might just be cheaper to buy the phone full price instead of having to ...

Re: Voicemail Icon
Jun 10, 2006, 4:05 PM

I have this happen with my Treo 650 for Sprint a lot (only with the voicemail icon). After I check my messages, I hang up and my icon will still be there. I just call the voicemail back, hang up after 2 seconds, and the icon disapears. Yup it's annoying, but only way I've seen to work for the icon to be gone - hope it worksout for you. Anyone else experience this problem?

SD Memory card question

I'm going to get a 2GB SD memory card for my Treo 650 and one of my friends told me to just get a 1 GB because the 2 GB will process a lot slower and slow my palm down. Any truth to this or am I totally fine to get the 2 GB card?

I'm going to switch from a moto SLVR to a Treo 650. Bluetooth problem
Feb 20, 2006, 9:30 PM
in the Motorola SLVR L7 forum

Has anyone else had trouble with their bluetooth randomly turning off? I experience this whenever I use my earpiece when I'm not on a call. The earpiece will make the noise it has disconnected, then it will connect 10 seconds later. Swapped out earpiece at Best Buy for another one and same thing happened. Is this just my phone or do others do the same? Thanks for the help!

When you have multiple contacts for 1 name, (while you are on your contact list) hit MENU, go to SETUP, then under VIEW select PRIMARY CONTACT. You will then be able to set the number for each contact as primary number and will only view 1 name and be able to have multiple numbers and email addresses for each one. Hope this helps.

Got info on release date
Jan 26, 2006, 7:45 PM
in the Motorola RAZR V3i / V3t / V3e / V3r forum

Spoke with family friend that works for Cingular and he said that he heard it should be released around April/May. Said it has iTunes, upgraded memory (http://wirelessimports.com/ProductDetail.asp ?ProductID=553 says 60MB memory, not sure about this), and told me about the other various stats wirelessimports mentions. I can't wait for this phone to come out - it would be something if they pushed the release date up a little (assuming the April/May tip is legit)
