Bluetooth problem

Has anyone else had trouble with their bluetooth randomly turning off? I experience this whenever I use my earpiece when I'm not on a call. The earpiece will make the noise it has disconnected, then it will connect 10 seconds later. Swapped out earpiece at Best Buy for another one and same thing happened. Is this just my phone or do others do the same? Thanks for the help!

i don't use bluetooth with mine, but as a rep for cingular i haven't had any feedback like this. use the manufacturer's warranty and get a new one.

I've never experienced it when I was talking on the phone, just when my headset was linked and sitting by it. My V600 and V3 NEVER had this problem, so I'm a little curious. Hmn...anyone else experience this problem?

what headsets are people using, could it be that instead of the phone? I use a moto HS805 and have never had this problem.

Try wearing the phone and the headset on the same side (so your body does not interfere). I've had intermittent problems like that in the past as well. Generally, the closer the two are to each other, the less dropped connections you'll experience. I also had better luck with Jabra BT2xx headsets than Motorola ones as far as keeping the connection alive. Also, keep in mind that there are some areas where outside electric signals (fields ???) will cause the drop--absolutely nothing can be done about that--you just have know those spots. Hope this helps.

i have experienced the same with the razrwire. i went to the cingular store and they tried a different moto headset and the same happened. i called cingular and received a replacement phone but, experienced the same problem. i am not to sure what else to do about it. however, the way to get it working without cycling on and off is to, drop the connection to the headset from the phone and re-connect it. after that is complete, a high pitched tone should be heard through the headset; if you do not hear the high pitched tone, it will keep happening. after that, it will stay connected. this will need to be done every time the power is cycled on the headset.

I'm glad I saw this thread, I have the V505 and have a similar problem. Mine will randomly disconnect (whether I'm currently on the phone or not), then reconnect, and show it's reconnected but when I get a call no one can hear me-I can hear them though. It only recently started doing it with the original Jabra. I th...
