Re: ...again
Sounds like it's kernel related. I know they forked 2.4 branch of the kernel, but I'm not sure if they finally made the jump to 2.6, or stayed with the 2.4 series. I personally use Net/OpenBSD with servers since I've never experienced a kernel panic with it. You should be able to copy .config from your 2.4 tree to the 2.6 and then make oldconfig; make, etc. to upgrade easily
Re: ...again
Although I don't know the cause of your crashing woes, PHP can cause a server to hang if it's threading (such as Apache2-MPM-Worker), with non-threadsafe modules compiled in. I hope you resolve it soon.
Re: Adding Airplane Mode Field?
Standalone Mode is just another name for Airplane Mode. It turns off the antanna so you get very long battery life for MP3 playback and orginziator features.
Re: Adding Airplane Mode Field?
I see. Well, the other reason for airplane mode/standalone mode is when you want to save battery power. I'd use it just during school so I want to know if it has it, not if it's allowed on flights. I can provide a partial list of phones I know for sure that have it if your intrested, but I haven't heard anything on the corrections I submitted to this site so far, so I'm not sure what to do ...
Adding Airplane Mode Field?
Is there any reason why Airplane/Standalone mode isn't listed on phone models, considering that the FAA recently allowed Airplane Mode for electronic devices, so the phone can still be used as an organizer, or music player? It's something that would have influenced my choice between phones one way or the other so shouldn't be on the feature list?
Also, have you gotten any of the emails, I sent in a bunch of corrections through the website, and haven't seen a ...
What's the point?
I'd use a Treo because of Palm OS, but now that seems to be no longer an option, and this affirms it - PalmOS appears to be dead.
New phone: Nokia 6256i
All these phones are for Verizon Wireless:

It's based off the Nokia 6255, and has the same FCC ID since both phones have same hardware, just differnet firmware.
Music Player was removed, but Infrared is still there, and all bluetooth profiles are intact. Rumors also say Java is still intact though I haven't seen it. This is Verizon's first phone with uncrippled Bluetooth, and it's going to be carried by both indirects and the Nokia 6256i.
I've also sent corrections for a ...
Re: Motorola v710 Question
It's not really possible unless you reflash your phone which I don't recommend unless you are willing to possibly fry it. You can seem edit it to enable MPT transfer, but that's also fairly buggy.
