No. You're just on nokia.com and not nokiausa.com. Also the phone was approved by the FCC and announced at CTIA Wireless 2005, America's premier wireless trade show.

The Cell South exclusive is to protect from any big companies to get the phone for two months and smaller companies will still possibly get it during the 2 months of exclustivity?
The way I read it, yes.

What do these numbers mean to a commoner such as myself? Is the 6255i slightly/significantly better or worse then the V710 in reception?
It gets a little better reception than the 3589i which is supposed to be as good as the v265/v710.

If you're using the 6255i on Verizon, I don't suppose there's any chance you can compare it's reception to that of the Motorola v265 or v710?

Nevermind. Got it.
Programming help for VZW
VZW took ESN. I need help getting it to download PRL. Says "Cust. Solutions" and fails when dialing *228.
$399 full retail?
Called Cellular South and they said the phone is $399 for no contract. I thought it was supposed to be $249.

Well I called Friday to see when I could pick one up-- they told me the higher ups pushed back the date to 'the week of March 1' nothing more specific was given to the sales staff so that is all that is known. I have no way to contact the tech that told me the details from before so other than what I can pry from the sales staff I have no source of new information.

w0rdie, anymore info about CellularSouth and the 6255i?

That may be true that Cellular South doesn't lock their phones. But will Sprint activate a non-sprint phone on their network? Also, will the call quality be lower?
No.
Re: not sensitive to our progressive society

I find the key pad on this phone intollerant to the needs of our society. These gender specific icons discriminate against children with two mommies or two daddies. In our ever changing society I think it is important that we cater strictly to minorities.
I hope your not serious.

No, chances are that will not work.
Are Cellular South phones locked? Or are they only locked after activation? Looking to use on VZW. Are you able to get into the programming of the phones (SID, NAM, MIN, etc)?
Re: Cellular South Customers...
Great news. Did you glean any info on pricing?

Just an FYI (not that I imagine anyone else to be on this tiny ass network) Cellular South has completed testing of this phone and is awaiting shipment to stores.
Confirmed this afternoon.
Can you provide anymore information like a launch date or expected arrival? You can PM me if you don't want to post that information here.

Very impressed!! Yes, it's only a VGA camera but it kicks my 6000's butt. The Bluetooth headset is extremely light, and has a 6 hour talktime. The main LCD is bigger than I thought, as is the outer display. You can also utilize the outer display to take self-portraits, I love that. The rep confirmed for me that we (USCC) will be carrying this phone, along with Verizon and Alltel. The retail ...

There is also a 6256i.
Re: Update on "No Date on display"
I just was pointing out it was the ERI.
Re: Update on "No Date on display"
It is the ERI. Go to Phone info -> "Active Line" and activate the one underneath your phone number (should say new or new line). Just hit enter or yes to everything to activate the new line. Go back to the menu and the date should come up.
Re: Does The 6015i Support Get It Now?
