Re: Instinct vs. Curve?
Thanks dude. I've decided to take my Instinct back after all, lack of customization options plus a lackluster web browser and texting experience definitely outweighs the extra battery and Rev. A EV-DO. Thanks again.
Instinct vs. Curve?
Alright so I just got the Instinct about 2 weeks ago, but I'm thinking about taking it back and getting the Curve. The touchscreen is nice and all but for me, it's not all that it's cracked up to be. Question is, between the Instinct and the Curve, which one is better and why?
Re: Looks like they took a page out of at&t's book.....
I want you to learn how to type.
Re: Class Action Lawsuit in Horizon Against Any Carrier
I'm sure they will "loose" tons of money....lol
Honestly, it's completely legal and your case is going to get thrown out instantly. Any carrier that decides to do this will make sure all their legal bases are covered in that fine print.
Re: In Layman's terms...
It depends on what part of Verizon's network you're on....
1xRTT (known as 1X on the phone) averages 60-80 kbps according to Phone Scoop so by saying it would average 70 kbps works out to be 166.4 hours or 6.93 days to reach the 5 GB limit
(70 kbps/8 = 8.75 KB/sec, 1024 x 5 GB = 5120 MB, 5120 MB x 1024 = 5242880 KB, 5242880 KB/8.75 = 599186 seconds, 599186 seconds/60 = 9986 minutes, 9986 minutes/60 = 166.4 hours, ...
Re: In Layman's terms...
I think it means that they can limit how fast your connection is going and a 5 GB limit is reasonable seeing as it's not entirely easy to reach, I use my Nokia as a modem on Cellular One's EDGE network and the most I've ever used is 3.5 GB in a month.
how much longer?
how much longer till we can get our hands on one?
So Dobson is bought out....now what?
We all know that AT&T bought out Dobson, but what are they going to do with the company's existing customers? They can either keep Cellular One as a separate entity or integrate it with themselves...so what seems most likely to happen?
Any chance we'll see it in Motorola's online store?
Is there any chance that Motorola will sell this phone in their online store unlocked like they do with some other phones?
Price?
Does anyone have an idea of what the price might be when it comes out unlocked?
questions about some features
I've been debating on whether or not to save up the money for the phone (I don't have Cingular and therefore have to buy it full price unlocked) and had 2 questions about it.
1. What formats of video can it playback? (like video put on an SD card)
2. Is there any size limit to the SD cards?
Re: W810i with Cellular One
I have all the settings information if you would like it.
Re: Has this phone been discontinued?
Yes, sadly they have discontinued that phone. It was probably discontinued because many people have had to get theirs replaced and it was costing Cingular too much money. It's a shame because it's a nice phone when everything works right.
Re: Razr as modem w/ cell one/dobson
I also have a RAZR from Cell One (which sucks by the way). They clearly understand that you already pay for internet access, it's just a way to stick you with paying for more.
Re: AIM? Try Trillian!
when using trillian for aim to send a message....does it count towards a text or does it count towards using data?
memory card
Does anybody know what the biggest memory card supported by a cell phone is? I know that the Nokia 6620 supports a 1 GB MMC card, but I'm not sure if theres any phone that supports more than that or not.
cingular in erie
Cingular has service in Erie because of agreements with Cellular One, but they don't have any stores around here. In fact the closest stores are in Pittsurgh and Youngstown. Does anybody know when they're going to start selling phones in Erie?
cellular one has phones that arent listed
i live in erie, pa and cellular one sells some phones in my area that arent listed on their site or here at phonescoop however ive only found that they carry these phones in 2 places and they are kiosks in the mall the 2 other phones that they sell are the Nokia 3620 and the Nokia 6800 can someone tell me why they do this in just those 2 places and not everywhere?
thank you
