Re: Higher Spending Limit?

Cell phone companies don't take the direct score and use that to decide what credit class you fall into. The formula is a little different. Also, once your score hits 720 it doesn't matter anymore. that is the level at which you qualify for the best rates on mortgages, car loans, etc.

Re: T-Mobile 2 Verizon (THINKING OF SWITCHING)

Actually, Verizon music phones have memory slots for the most part and this does allow you to transfer music to the memory card and play it in your phone. From what I understand, GSM should sound better in theory, but in the Seattle area, Sprint and Verizon sound good, TMO mediocre and Cingular aweful. By the way do you have a link to the advertising stuff? I've heard the numbers but I wanted something I could ...

Re: Choose Sprint?

I'll help answer a couple more. T-Mobile is actually the best customer service according to most consumer advocay firms (i.e. JD Power, Consumer reports... those people). Sprint's CS is about as bad as Cingular, I still think Cingular's is worse but that point will be debated forever. As far as coverage goes, Sprint actually has the most towers of any company, the only thing is a big chunk of those are iden, but they have started ...

Re: Sprint Nextel Merger

OK, to answer the question of whether it was a buy-out or a merger.... Sprint technically bought Nextel, although the relatively small amount of cash that was exchanged plus the rebranding is why people say "merger of equals", btw, the of equals is purely marketing.... if companies that merge aren't equal, someone got shafted! So in other words, Sprint technically bought Nextel, but for all intents and purposes it was a merger. Oh yeah, everyone who argues on ...

Wow.... I rarely post on this forum because it is usually just whining and complaining but your post... OK, Sprint phones cannot! roam on GSM. First of all, GSM networks require a much longer serial number referred to as an IMEI; take off your battery, do you see an IMEI number on the back of your phone? No... you don't. Sprint phones can roam of CDMA and AMPS network, which are the most extensive, but in the ...

Not anytime soon (I mean not in 2005 for sure). However you will be able to call between Nextel and Sprint (if you already have mobile to mobile) for free VERY soon. There is also a dual iden/cdma phone on its way, they are referring to it as a quad-band phone. Expect it by the holidays...

Re: hmmm, my two favorite carriers

GSM is only the world-wide standard because it was state-mandated by the European countries. CDMA is growing, for instance Verizon phones can now roam in 13 countries. I find it somewhat funny that to you "speed seems about the same" because it is not close. If you tether your phone to a computer, which I have done with both, you can actually measure the speed. I average about 75 kbs with sprint and 25 kbs ...

hmmm, my two favorite carriers
Aug 8, 2005, 12:28 PM
in the Sprint forum

These are the two carriers I sell the most of. Which do I think is better? I would say T-mobile is the easier company for a customer to deal with and they are generally less expensive for a customer who doesn't need to many minutes. One-year contracts are also favorable to pretty much everyone. Sprint no longer has one-year contracts (they only sell fair/flex in most markets). But they are by far my favorite carrier to ...

USB sync for internet
Jan 9, 2005, 6:33 PM
in the Sanyo MM-7400 forum

I'm thinking of getting a data cable for my 7400, primarily for internet with my laptop but also to move pics and rings to my phone and off of it. If I just buy a cable, do I need other software to do this? Thanks!
