Is this AT&T's way of making more $ or offloading their tech support, and saying sorry u need to add the 9.99 tech support pack to help u learn how to do that with your device... http://mobileprotectionpack.att. com/enhanced-support.html

$60/mo for 2400mins? When you can have unlimited talk for $2/day with vzw or other carriers... even at&t likely has the same/similar pricing... Unl Talk&text for $44.95 from pageplus, which I know they do limit you but I'm sure you can get more than 2,400 mins and u get texting included... this is just a rip off! From so called "consumer cellular".

Maybe, or could make them large enough to get their own iFruit :) and suck up all the customers that are tired of vzw/at&t's pricing etc.. That is a BIG Maybe... I suppose there could be some divesting involved, who knows, even if they get within 5-10M of AT&T who may still yet lose a few Mil over the AT&T iPhone... hard to say as this likely would not happen for what a year+ after approvals if it gets that ...

49.9M @ Sprint 33.7M @ T-Mobile 83.6M @ SprinTMobile 86.2M @ AT&T If AT&T loses 3M more they will be #3 lol I wonder if that would make them rethink their network :) http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2011 /02/10/sprint-q-loss-narrows-subscriber-growt h-returns-128347721/ http://www.wirelesswe ek.com/News/2011/02/T-Mobile-4Q-Postpaid-Loss es-Churn-Business/ http://www.physorg.com/ news/2011-01-att-gains-subscribers-4q.html

Like what a new chipset , o wait they had to do that for CDMA anyway... I would say 99.999% sure IF there is a CDMA/GSM phone this year ip5 or whatever it's called in June ish that will NOT have LTE More likely 2012+

Why does it cost 69.99 for unl talk when this device offers it on the SAME network for 19.99? Shouldn't vzw bring the price down on the regular cell plans??? What difference does it make if I call from my home or the road, same network same tech??? wth? I know I could install this in my car but seems like a hassle! Just to get cheap unl calls, use Speakerphone or a headset :)

So yea, sign a 2yr. contract say feb 2011, and watch them shut down your area jan 2013 hmmm then pay the ETF LOL... Why would anyone sign a contract in 2011/2012 for 2 years just to have the network gone b4 the contract is haha. I'm sure the salespeople won't mention the shutdown even in dec 2012... :)

5G?
Dec 18, 2010, 7:38 PM
in the Article: ITU Changes Tune, LTE and WiMax Can Be Called '4G' forum

Then if the ITU has any sense to it at all, then why not define 5G now? Then there is no confusion when that comes down the line. or Just accept that 1G,2G,3G,4G,5G...etc... simply means it's a new "Generation" or brand new technology! So, HSPA/HSDPA/HSDPA+ same Technology~ 1X/EVDO/LTE 3 different technologies and generations.
