5G?

Then if the ITU has any sense to it at all, then why not define 5G now? Then there is no confusion when that comes down the line.
or
Just accept that 1G,2G,3G,4G,5G...etc... simply means it's a new "Generation" or brand new technology!
So, HSPA/HSDPA/HSDPA+ same Technology~
1X/EVDO/LTE 3 different technologies and generations.

Yes they really should get the ball rolling on 5g. But they are still working on 4g. Your proposal makes sense lets see if they agree.

Haha lets not get too ahead of our selves. With the confusion they are having with 4g they deffinitely don't need to throw another topic in there. Maybe once they can stick with one definition for at least a month for 4g they can start working on 5g. Lol
But I do agree that "g's" should be related to generations of tech.
It doesn't make sense for HSPA+ to be considered 4g tech, but in my opinion, under the current definition, anything higher than HSPA+ 7.2 would fit in. I don't really like that but it is what it is.
