My bad, a portion of the iDEN bandwidth is being allocated for CDMA voice and the rest to LTE for data. 8)

I am so looking forward to the day the final nail is placed in the Nextel iDEN network's coffin and that spectrum is converted over to CDMA. 8)

I'm not sure if Assurance Wireless is the same as the Lifeline program. All I know if the handset they get appears to be a monolithic style Kyocera one. /;|

I just wish Vision devices would be eliminated from the Sprint Nextel device line up. I'm so looking forward to 2013 when we turn down 850 MHz iDEN and convert it over to CDMA. Hasta la vista NDC. I pray the new PTT solution doesn't crash and burn as the QChat one did.

Are we referring to the Seven Eleven aka Apu from The Simpsons ones or the US Government screwed the pooch out of them stealing their land aka Tonto type of Indians? /;| If you're referring to the former ones, I wish to God they stop eating so much damn food drowned in curry and tumeric as their farts nearly melt the flesh off my bones and the latter ones that we encounter in our store almost always ...

From what we've seen of the Kyocera Echo in our store, it's a good thing the handset comes with a spare battery as the life of usage is about the same as the HTC EVO 4G.

Hey jacejace. I too work for corporate Sprint in one of their retail sales only locations(ARVP=JS, ARD=JH & DM=JC). Getting ready for the Nexus 4G by Google training(ATL) in the next 2 weeks. The Samsung Replenish/M580 411 appears to be 404. http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell -phones/SPH-M580ZKASPR

Of all the wireless handsets worldwide, smartphones compose approximately 75% of them and of that percentage, an estimated 75% run one of the Android OS platforms, Froyo being the majority.

Re: 1,000 tests prove Sprint’s 4G network is a joke compared to Verizon’s

Being first isn't always a good thing. I believe WiMAX was definitely not the right path for Sprint Nextel's 4G network. Globally as well as domestically speaking, LTE whips the llama's ass (as Winamp puts it) when it comes to 4G deployment Sgt Joker. This is one of the reason's why Dan Hesse, the Sprint Nexel CEO, doesn't want to see at&t absorb T-Mobile. 79% of not only the voice network/market(GSM) will be dominated by them and Verizon Wireless, ...

Re: Are Nextel usere able to roam in Southern Linc areas?

No, Sprint's iDEN devices will not work in Baxley, Ga and according to the Sprint Coverage Tool, CDMA devices will roam there on the wireless carrier who offers coverage in Baxley. Besides, with the Network One Initiative, the days of iDEN are numbered as the Sprint 850 MHz iDEN network is going to be converted to a 850 MHZ CDMA one. http://coverage.sprintpcs.com/IMPACT.jsp? BAC, is Eric from Phone Scoop the same guy from this site? http://www.informationweek.com/news/ mobility/wifiwimax/showArticle.jhtml?articleI D=229300496&cid=RSSfeed_IWK_All If so, his journalism skills are phenominal as there seems to be fewer and fewer journalists that aren't skewed left or right. Eric, keep up the great work you do and just know you're truly an asset to Rich and the site.

Here is sirwes' response to my question of "Did you ever get resolution to your issue regarding losing your Sprint air card and account closure?" Sirwes' Response: "No, Sprint refused to budge on the issue. I refused to pay. Sprint referred the account to a collection agency. It turned out that Sprint was fighting me and refusing to budge over less than $100. For as long as I live, I will never do business with Sprint again. ...

I'm sure once the exclusivity with at&t is concluded, Apple will indeed partner with other US wireless carriers for the iPhone. at&t as well as Verizon Wireless already sell the Apple iPad in their various sales channels along side the Samsung Galaxy Tablets.

With the US $ and Canadian $ almost equal in value (US $ is 1.00000 and the the Canadian one is $1.00037 as of 9:10 pm EST), I wonder if Canadians are starting to jump to The States to purchase wireless devices which may be unlocked to be used with their wireless carrier back home seeing how the full price on the majority of wireless devices here in The States seem to be quite a bit less expensive. I ...
