Re: Interesting breakdown!
it actually works well for apple, they make their phone seem stury and last longer and that adds to the value of the phone, thats why you still see people holding iphone 2Gs...also apple makes it so that people would buy the next iproduct even if their current one is still working fine, how do you think they get those kinds of lines during release dates?
Re: Awesom specs, but...
checked eric's pics of the photon..the edges doesnt seem sharp to me..i kinda liked this phone, made me changed my mind about the moto android devices "face" design, cause i disliked the orig droid's "face"
Re: How about consumer choice?
you should know people didn buy androids for flash... some maybe but definetly not the majority. and though ideally it would be great that all consumers are knowledgable about computers and tech, mostly dont..lest we would not have the need for tech support..(havent you read about "jokes" about some silly problems consumers call tech for? ..well their not exactly jokes)
Re: To what end?
there is... thats why Sprint opted to go wimax because they needed to use spectrum before deadline.. as per wiwavelength
nub question
sorry i read "dual core" and then "1.8 GHZ PER core"... does that mean its a 3.6 GHz processor?
Re: Wow
whoever posted the above comments should research first cause this phone was released more than a year ago, and still getting an update after more than a year of being released is actually a good thing(plus the fact its on att thats why the update took longer, i believe this update was available a few months ago on the unlocked version)
charging overnight.
thats what you call overcharging, that breaks the battery and other components of the phone and leads to the battery having less battery life/capacity. phones are normally fully charged in less than 3 hours my ipod(which is close to an iphone) charges within an hour.
Re: Apple hates sim standard
actually apple applying it to be a standard means youll be seeing other phones(not only apple phones) with these kind of sim card slots..making it easier to switch from an iphone to a samsung for example.
Re: STOP GIVING**** AWAY!
verizon did the 30 day free about a year ago..sprint was late on that... i dont know which but i believe either verizon or att(or both) pays for your etf when transfering...im sure thats not the only contributing factor to their success(its mostly because they bought their competitors out lol), but that definetly helped.
Re: thanks big brother
"love" lol (its more than like hehe)
except the revolt part..but i do agree that should be the EXTREME reaction...(when its too much)
Re: That's good,. . .but I'm still waiting.
ouch you guys are mean ... XD
Re: If this was facebook
agreed and its for getting in touch with grade school and high school friends(also childhood friends)..so if you think about it..facebook is for people who actually LIVED and are still alive and stays in touch with their social group...contrary with the OP's definition of people on facebook =0
Re: To all the critics of Samsung. . .
being a member of this "alliance" doesnt mean that samsung was never a failure to deliver updates properly with their existing devices, or doesnt guarantee that they'll be better at it, because most probably their coders dont even know how to.
P.S. i would have clicked the "like" button if there was one =))
Re: No thanks
and thats were the problem lies...with samsung your not sure that getting the latest updates is your biggest problem, cause they get very simple implementations wrong all the time, simple like GPS, and alarm clock behavior.
and to add to the OP's point guess which phone manufacturers product delayed/showed problems with the NODO update of wp7?
Re: Why?
+1 on samsung phone quality
and also on tv screens... i hate my current samsung phone..outdated and forgotten as soon as they put it out.. they release phones that are made not to be updated....thats why i think they have problems updating the galaxy series to even froyo
Re: I agree
aha !
gotcha..so drunk is the alter ego of wiwavelength XD
Re: One of thse companies is not like the other....
lol @jay
check the title and pick the company that doesnt belong...
Re: Disgruntled past/preset Sprint Customers
ow and his msg also is for existing cx who dont really have valid complains... ill give u an example ..i had a cx who made a complain about the $10 addon, after explaining it to him, he asked to be transfered, before i was able to hangup after transfer he told the other rep i was rude...seriously? im rude for trying to explain the new policy? seriously?
Re: Disgruntled past/preset Sprint Customers
he was talking about people who HAD sprint service and had bad experience and still scream about it here, not the current ones..its like having a bad relationship years ago and your still in your room crying about it..there has gotta be sometime in the near future that you "get over it" .... but your also right, you shouldnt be telling a current cx to "get over it" when they have a problem(especially a valid one),but fortunately thats ...
Re: Translation--
do you work for a store? if you answer yes then thats why you never had it...it was back around december that they removed it for online orders... telesales were allowed to honor it though :D
Re: What took so long?
what happens when you have 4D? you'll be able to see ones soul? or something :?
Re: this is starting to get stupid!
having a sim doesnt make you GSM... if that were the case then nextel is GSM too
...shish... how old are you anyway?
Re: nice...
atleast they did something right... samsung always has problems even on their flagships...
Re: What I don't quite understand is...
maybe mathematics between towers...triangulations and everything...im stupid so i dont know how that works lol...just saw it in csi XD
Re: No upside to GSM now...
he did mention "worldwide coverage"...but i disagree about security... gsm is actually not so secure as people may think ..
Re: Finally
for sprint... it actually is in the memos already same time as the email sent to PS...most reps dont check the tools often/daily, so that's why their not aware..
Re: nice...

SamSUCK is all style, no substance. They make pretty screens and UI's with colorful iOS-esque icons but fall short on features like a camera flash and use the cheapest possible materials to constrct their devices. Not to mention they dont bother updating them and provide the worst customer support.
practically summarizes my thoughts about samsung too... i think lg makes better quality products.
Re: Translation
and whats wrong with that? any bad exp consumers would get from using this apps may cause bad rep for twitter so i dont think them having control about how apps function is a bad thing..to be honest im kinda leary about using third party apps because of privacy issues... and twitter taking a step to protect their users is a very good sign.
Re: this sounds great BUT
because they dont like carriers medling with the "user experience"? lol
Re: Anyone who doesn't think Sprint is next...

It's probably a piece of mind thing. If you got unlimited, you don't have to worry about data usage, no matter how small the used amount is.
On the other hand, if you do have a limit, then you gotta constantly watch (I know I would) the data usage, making sure you don't go over.
exactly...
were i come from we have different "MB's" its not for amount of usage though..its for speeds(basically like what verizon is proposing).. so everybody has ...
Re: Nice incentive but......
nice =))))
Re: NOW....
and this coming from somebody who knows nothing...now that is something
:D
Re: Netflix?
sorry that was the first that came into my mind the point is whatever info you have on your phone you can stream to any tv all you need is any of these consoles...they say that the path of smartphones is by combining all the gadgets that we have into one device...or something like that XD
Re: What?
i guess it means u dont have to upgrade your existing tv to something that has dlna or hdmi... as long as it works with a ps3,etc., your good to go...so people who claims they dont want to watch movies on a 3-4in screen can now join and sign up for services like netflix on their mobile phones..and i guess in the near future you could do torrents on your phone XD
with voice chat !
i can imagine either having to play with the charger plugged in(which defeats the purpose of being mobile) or my battery dying in 30minutes hahaha o well still looking forward to playing with one
=/
love the specs but i cant say the same with the physical design though...
cool
they sure look nice....not for me though..but still nice
nice
i agree samsung as a manufacturer sucks, their efforts are always halfassed and their implementations always have something missing in them ...they are good at marketing though, and putting "face-value" to their products..this is one good example..i must agree this phone looks really really good...physically and specwise but still leaves a lot to doubt.
Re: No thanks SamSUCK
i would have to second this....minus the cussing =))
hey eric
not being a wise ass..but i got confussed so i googled it..
