Whoever bought this phone has been completely screwed.
Whoever bought this phone doesn't do research prior to buying a new phone. This thing oughta have 2.2 by now.
Or maybe they're just not obsessd with always having the latest and greatest... for a cheap $50 Android phone maybe they're willing to be a little out of date. What the hell is wrong with that?

With the Evo out this phone is already obsolete

Android 1.6 come one!

With the fast pace at which the Android OS is being updated, 1.6 is probably not that surprising. The OS has been updated in some areas from what I understand too. I doubt an update...
Which of course makes me nervous that when I snag the Evo something will be out a few months later that eclipses it. My #1 grief with Android right now, how many bazillion models do we need? The obsolescence cycle is like 4 months!
