SO my upgrade is in july!! I have a droid eris (ROOTED-overclocked-806mhz) and this is like the best upgrade man kind can offer me lol. I was also informed that the eris will never receive an update to 2.1 or any update for that mater.....its like Verizon and HTC disowned this phone :(

i recently found out that on April 1st...to make more room for another android powered phone from HTC they would cancel orgers for this fone an HTC would stop produncing it....which mean that VZW will supply us this fone till they run out then we get the Incredible....oh well..but i really liked this fone

you either need to take the battery cover off the fone and clean off the camerea lens then do the same for the batery cover part, or you could take it back to VZW and get a new one
ERIS UPDATE TO 2.x
ok so my eris had been off for like a month then with no service for about a 2 weeks and 2 days ago i turned it on and it took aboout 5 minutes for it too load everything and still recieve messages ect. anyways i got the screen that say upadte ready or whatever and it said install now,install later, remind me later and i clicked install now and thenit just turned off.....did any1 get the update besides ...

Ok so like I have had my droid eris for 2 weeks now and Im freaking tired of the text message ringtone. My is "ascend" and I hate It now. Does any one know how to change it

Of course the fone has apps. It's not an iPhone though. Samsung and metro are still putting together an app store but in the mean times u have to use the @metro store for apps. The Internet if 3G in Dallas, tx and in detroit, mi. Metro PCS will update there 3G coverage area January 2010

NVM! it does have an accelerometer. samsung didnt prgram it for txtin but they did program it for PICTURE viewing and video viewing. an the accelerometer is pretty fast too :D

well it could be from the heat of the fone itself chargeing an also being in the case at the same time. samsungs are known for overheating some times. i myself chrage my messager outside the case becuz my battery did overheat int eh first few months of owning the fone after about 2 or so months it stopped overheating an now i have a finesse.
just get another finesse an chrage it OUTSIDE of its case

just do it via windows media palyer. download the movie on the WMP then plug ur fone into the computer the computer should recognize it an say open to view files import pix blah blah blah click open to view files open the video section then drag the media from WMA to ur fone

why isnt there an accelerometer in this fone. of all things in a touch screen fone an there decide to leave the accelerometer out. an any one explain this to me

it does have voice memo its under sounds. it does have a reminder alarm. and u can change the clock if u didnt know thaat already. u also have to keep in mind this a samsung smart fone for metro and its going to be kinda hard to use and i own this fone and i love it. i just dont know how to download music to the mp3 player for it. rather than that. its awsome :)

yes u can download games. you can get them from @metro. im not sure how secure the web browser is. yes u can recive calls while listening to the mp3 player just prees the green call button. auto answer answers the calls as soon as u recive calls. yes lock the keypad by pressing the star key
