Re: PDAnet
Not sure why you'd need PDAnet when WinMo5 has internet sharing built in.

Re: Big Problem with the little Blackjack.
You can set your device to sync date and time with your computer instead of the carrier network. Consult your owners manual.

Re: Why doesn't QWERTY work while searching contacts?
Not just that, but if the letter you type is also a number key (i.e. J/6), it will display contacts that have phone numbers that start with that number. I type 2 or 3 letters for the name that I am looking for and I've got the one I'm looking for. I don't find it to be that much of a hassle. It saves me from having to down arrow through a long list of people ...
Re: What's so much better in WM6?
The difference between WinMo5 and WinMo6 is HUGE. The Flash video on MS's website only tells you part of the story. There's a lot going on under the hood too. WinMo6 is WAY more responsive and there's new options and features, too.
Cingular/AT&T will be offering a free upgrade to WinMo6 for BJ users starting I think May 26th. For anyone that is considering upgrading their BJ on their own, keep this in mind: ...
Re: Remote Control??? :)
I had an app on my HP iPaq called Nevo. It worked great, but I'm not sure if it will work on WinMo SmartPhone.

Re: Music ID
You'll have to connect your BJ to your computer for this.
Explore your device through ActiveSync and go to \Program Files\MusicID. Make a new shortcut for the MusicID application and move that shortcut to \Windows\Start Menu. It is now back in your Start screen.
NOTE: You may have to set your computer to view hidden files and folders in order to see the \Windows folder on your BJ.

Re: SDIO
The website you listed says that supported OS's are MS Windows CE. The BJ uses Windows Mobile SmartPhone edition. I don't think that card will work, but I'm no expert.

Re: Sync on two computers
Another thing to look at is your sync options. There should be 3 options in ActiveSync:
1) Replace computer with device
2) Replace device with computer
3) Combine computer and device

Re: Signal Pulling and Batteries
I bought mine last month & I got 2 batteries - a slim one & a high-capacity one. I use my phone with the slim battery all day long and it holds a charge fine. I frankly don't know why there's so much complaining about the battery performance. I may have gotten a mutant battery or something, but I use my phone all day long with a steady rotation of phone calls, text messages, Google Maps, ...
Re: Mobile 6.0
If you can wait, Cingular/AT&T will be offering a free upgrade at the end of May.

Re: BlackJack Internet access as Modem
It's not dial-up internet. You're using the mobile internet, so you'll be charged for data usage if you have the data plan that charged per kb.

Re: Can I watch TV?
There is an application on the phone called Cingular Media that allows you to stream video to your phone. If you have 3G coverage, it works pretty seamlessly. I haven't tried it with EDGE coverage.

Re: ROM Update Available
I'm going to go ahead with the update tomorrow at work...I'll let you know how it goes.
Re: Activesync can't detect Blackjack
I can't explain exactly why, but ActiveSync requires DHCP to be started before it will recognize your device.
