Palm Treo 700w / 700wx

Maybe I am just a little dull, but I don't see anything that confirms to me that this phone does videos besides pictures with teh camera. This is very important to me. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Hello everyone. First let me thank everyone who assisted me in making my decision to pick up a 700w. You definitely helped me answer some questions, and gave me insight into what I needed, and should be or should not be looking at. Again, thank you.

Ok, so I picked up my 700w from a local kiosk - long story short, I got it at a steal especially considering I wasn’t even due for an upgrade.

I was so excited to finally get up to speed about never being out of touch from my business, that I actually sat in my car for about 45 minutes, setting up an email account. Setting it up was a piece of cake, relative to some of the problems I found later on.

All the basic functions, ActiveSync, Files (excel, word), Comcast email, Web based email...

I am sure this has been addressed in differnt ways, but I need a straight up. I have been using a 650 for a year now and am happy, but primarily use it for business in a sales position. The high speed access for web, attachments and email, + the better internal memory and ram in the 700 seem to be a no brainer for heavy users no?

Your advice is needed.

I have just bought a 700 but I have not even added a 3rd pary apps and I have to check the memory constantly I forsee this being a major problem. I also want to know if the q will have the today screen, video caller id, and can I listen to audio via bluetooth without the stereo headset? I am sure someone on this site knows any help would be great (I know that on the xv6700 you can listen to mp3's via bluetooth. By the way what is the name of the bluetooth probile that allows this to happen?) If I can find that along with a fix for the bluetooth being able to control the voice dial then I could handle the memory issue.

Just purchased a Treo 700p for my wife. She plans to keep the phone in her purse. Any recommendations for a good case for her that would allow her quick access to the phone?

I need to make a decision. Should I wait until the 6700 comes out or would anyone recommend the 700W? Also, pricing and availability dates??? (for verizon)

So, whats the primary complaint you experience and read about with the 700W??? The FACT that you have to reset it right? Well, did it ever occur to you morons to include in your nightly routine of connecting it to the charger to reset it first? I know, it adds 10 seconds onto the time it takes to connect to the charger but that's less than one hour in a YEAR to ensure that "it locks, I have to reset it, that sucks!" never causes you a problem when your using the phone...

So, tell me, what other phone provides the same functionality and solid cell phone capability without some similar glitch? ...Hmmm, I think that would be done.

Where can I find a reasonably priced IM program at for the 700w Treo?

I just got the 700w yesterday and I like it so far. Where can I get some cool downloads at?

I've had about 3 700 w's so far, ALL of them had a problem with the alarm getting stuck...It's finally bugging me.

If I set an alarm for x time, or all 3 available ones for x times, they do their thing. If I set them for different times, occassionaly it will get stuck; the alarms, current AND previous, go off. Next thing you know this thing has an alarm going off every 30 minutes throughout the day.

2 of the previous phones had another annoying problem with the alarm...Say it goes off and at the same time you get a call, or have another reminder pop up, just something that pops up over the dismiss prompt for the alarm, every once in awhile the prompt just wont be there after the call, or addressing the other prompt/screen that came u...

Good afternoon everyone. Please pardon the subject line, however, I have not received proper advice from VZW on this subject, so I thought I would ask my peers.

So here's my question. I am not much of a blackberry type guy, however, I am a pocket pc fanatic. I truly cant live without my pocket pc, and as of late, have not been able to get away from email (work issues) .

I understand there are two types of devices available to me through VZW. (excluding the blackberry) A pocket pc or smart phone. what are your thoughts?

I was waiting for the new Treo to come out because of WM but now with checking out the 6700 soon arriving for verizon I'm torn as to which is better. Any advice? After reading about the two, the 6700 seems more appealing than the 700 because of the display, WIFI, cost and I thought I read that the processor was a tad faster. I do like the one hand use with the treo but is that enough to sway me? Please shed some like on this for me. Thanks in advance.

I heard that the treo is compatable with napster to go. do I need to download software or am I good to go with the windows media player that is in them already?
the only software I found was pocket tunes for palm os.

I have a customer in my store that is looking for a pda device from verizon that will sync with his mac. Which device will do that?

I started off with the 700W...After a few months I was tired of the locking up issues and got VZW to replace it with a 700P...I've had this 700P for a week now and it's restarted for no apparent reason twice and the email is not nearly as robust/capable as the 700W.

So, now I'm looking at the blackberries. My biggest concerns:

Use is as a modem for a laptop?

Signal strength (700's were best for PDA's that I've ever seen)???

Battery life, stats show the blackberry is worse than the 700's?

Contacts, need ability to store at least 1,000 and need the ability for it to create a new contact from a number that called me?

Should I wait (is the Pearl coming out on VZW?)?

Any and all feedback would be appreciated.
