Treo 700 or the HTC 6700 for verizon?

I was waiting for the new Treo to come out because of WM but now with checking out the 6700 soon arriving for verizon I'm torn as to which is better. Any advice? After reading about the two, the 6700 seems more appealing than the 700 because of the display, WIFI, cost and I thought I read that the processor was a tad faster. I do like the one hand use with the treo but is that enough to sway me? Please shed some like on this for me. Thanks in advance.

It depends what you want to do with it.

Treo is a professional phone for the workplace. Its designed around outlook and exhcange activesync using EVDO. Was not designed for games or rich multimedia.

The 6700 is more for people who just need fancy things. Its geared more towards mp3 listening, movies, netwoking wifi, etc.

The palm 700 is designed to go agenst the blackberry and try to win its market share.

Do you really think activesync is going to compete with blackberry? It doesn't appear to be a real enterprise application - tough to set-up/manage, limited security, limited device choice (at this time).

what about if you will use the phone for the scheduler / planner functions as much as the phone, with a little less emphasis on internet?

I love the wi-fi of the 6700. That's why i chose it instead of the 700w, even thought the 700w has more memory.
