Not scrapped

My Verizon rep today told me that the V810 was indeed going to come out; he also said it had video capability. Phonescoop says multishot camera, I haven't heard definitively one way or another. I thought it was only still camera, as motorola has not released a CDMA camera phone yet. Personally, I think they would be jumping the gun to release a video phone without a still camera predecessor on Verizon. After all, if the V810 has video, why would anyone want to buy the 710 only a few months down the road? Nobody really uses bluetooth anyway, which seems to be one of the soul advantages of the 710 over the 810.

Price point?

Does anyone have an idea how much this phone will be when it comes out? It will hardly be new or cutting edge when it does. Seems like more of a basic camera phone. If Verizon is looking to get a lot of money for it, that just seems like one more reason that it is becoming less and less worth the wait.

Face facts

Ok people, we all have filled up 9 pages of this forum with rumors and false promises, we all need to face the fact that NO ONE knows when this phone will come out and get on with our lives. Just pray your existing phone holds up until the damn thing comes out!

Sprint to Verizon reprogramming

Okay kids, thats enough with the speculation. Time to lay down the facts and put an end to the bickering. I work at RadioShack; I know my stuff. Anyone remember PCS Free and Clear America? They roam on Verizon towers. CDMA=CDMA, same signal across carriers. Sprint phones pick up Verizon signal, so voice is compatible. As some have wondered, no, internet features would not work. Sprint uses Java, Verizon uses Brew, the two technologies are nowhere near compatible. While the two P2T services are based on the same technology, they still have to go through the correct protocols, so the Sanyo would not be able to Push to talk at all, not with other pcs phones or the Moto V60p. Picture mail and text messaging are a no-go. They both use the pcs vis...

V810 in March????????

I just received an email from Motorola saying that the V810 will be available in March. Everyone is receiving different answers, because they are telling everyone different things. As I stated before, I don't think anyone at that company knows when the phone will be released (if at all) so they just say things to cover their ass one way or the other!

European Version of this phone is so much better!!

Check this out, the European version of the V810. Much cooler, and already out, as are most of the phones here. You can buy them unlocked from this website.

V60S Still the BEST!!

I have had the Samsung A610, Audiovox 8900, VX6000, the V60S is still the best........The best in everyway.

People lets be realistic, The speaker is much more useful than any camera. And you dont have to pay 4.99 a month for it.

THE AUDIOVOX HAS A SPEAKER BUT ITS horrible.

THE 810 WILL BE A GOOD PHONE BUT NO SPEAKER.

Motorola V810's twin available in US

The V878, the Asian version of the V810, is actually being sold utilizing the GSM advantage. It is under T-Mobile service but, like other Asian phones from unauthorized dealers, receives no recognition from the T-Mobile Headquarters.

Believe me, I saw it with my own eyes ($175 with activation under T-Mobile).
