What do you think about the price?

What do you think about the $299 price tag with 2 year contract? I have my new every two I am going to use (I have been saving it for a phone that I thought was worth it), but after you buy a 8 gb card your spending almost iphone price. Now I am not starting a debate about which is better, but you have to admit if the iphone was on Verizon you would probably pick that over the voyager (at least I would). Anyways, about the price, I was hoping at most $249 which is probably going to happen in like a month or so. Thats my thoughts... Sound off.

Voyager - HTML Browser Access Question

I just pre-ordered the Voyager 😁 - - $199.00 after my upgrade discount.

Question on charges for using the HTML browser feature of the phone.

The Premium plan I got, speaks specifically about unlimited usage for Mobile 2.0 . . . I'm not sure of this covers using the HTML browser.

Am I missing where usage is addressed for this feature and/or is its usage unlimited like the Mobile 2.0?

Thanks!

YouTube and Unlimited Data Package

I've been reading alot threads regarding YouTube content on this phone. Just to give you guys a heads up, Verizon Wireless's "Unlimited Data Packages" has a limit as to how much data you can actually use per month. It doesn't matter if you have a PDA, Data Card, or regular phone. Their unlimited Data Max is 4MB/Month. If you go over this amount, they have the right to cancel your account and drop you off their network completely. This happened to a couple of Employee accounts as well as a Supervisor's account while I was working there. So just a word of advice, don't watch too much youtube content, as a matter of fact, don't stream too much info through this phone (unless you're using MediaFlo); Even if you pay extra for the BBA Connect to u...

Speakerphone

Hey All,

Been checking Phone Scoop for some time but never posted before. Im a current Verizon Wireless customer but have the old school LG VX6100. Im probably going to upgrade to the Voyager, but have a speakerphone question. Was checking out testman and read this:

General
One−Touch Speakerphone (via internal keyboard)

I hope this doesn't mean that speakerphone can't be used without having the phone open...

i.e. does anyone know if speakerphone works in its closed, bar form?

Thanks -Rob

VZWrube

VZWrube,

Can we confirm from you that the pre-order date for the Voyager is this Friday 11/8/07, pricing at 299.99 for 2 year after $50 rebate? And what is the full retail price, and what is the real skinny on the html browser, what can it do, and what can it not do?

For those of you with problems getting your pre-orders online.....

Just wanted to say, I got mine ordered you suckers!!!! Just kidding, I was having the same problem, so the cust service reps were saying I had to speak with Websales, then websales said E-services, then E-services transferred me back to Cust Service. I then told the rep what had happened and allowed him to try logging into my account online so he could see the error, and he decided to add a line and order it online for me that way, sent the confirmation email to me, then he noted the account saying to cancel my line and waive etf after I get the phone and activate it on my current number. This is an option for you guys that can't order it like me. But I told him to make his supervisor aware of the issue and to alert the company that a lo...

Voyager Pre-Order

Info from Phone Arena: LG Voyager (VX10000) : 11/8 Pre-Order; 11/21 Launch. Do you really need to pre-order on-line in order to get it as soon as they release it? Can I just go to the store and get it there on the 21st? Has anybody used this pre-order option from Verizon before?.
Thank you

Voyager not yet on Testman site?

Usually, the day before a release (maybe not pre-order though?) the phone shows up on the testman site. Is it only before it is released officially in the stores or do you think it does the same for pre-order? I cannot wait to get this phone! Looks great!

Voyager Pricing Info.

I keep hearing different pricing information, but does anyone know the full retail price and other pricing detailes (i.e. new every 2, etc). Unfortunately, my 2 year contract was up last April and I upgraded to the vx8700. I really would like to have the new Voyager, does anyone know if I would have to pay full retail or are there other ways to get some partial discount(s)? Thanks for all your advice and suggestions.

Venus release dates

yes, i realize this forum is for the Voyager, but there is no Venus forum yet which is odd since it is scheduled to come out first.

black Venus, nov 19th

pink Venus, dec 11th

No online or preorder dates were listed which I found odd.

As far as I know the 21st of Nov still looks like the date for the Voyager but if we don't see confirmation by the end of this week I'll start to doubt.

Music Player

I know someone mentioned this below but I'm to lazy to find it. I found detailed launch notes for the Venus online today.
"Multitask while playing music, hide player to send messages, browse the web, etc"
I would assume if the Venus is capable that the Voyager will be as well.
I can't understand why LG hasn't been making all their music phones like this. they've obviously got it to work on both chocolate phones.

smart phone replacement

I currently use my phone as a pda and a phone. I surf the internet briefly but it is not that important to me. Calendar, to do list, making calls, texting and maybe emailing are my top priorities. Does anyone know how the voyager will be in terms of its calendar function, email capability, etc. By the way I do not need push email but it is a nice bonus
