LG Voyager VX-10000

Well, this is a first. I REALLY wanted this phone, but have since learned that it does not have a calendar that can be synched with your PC. Yes, there are some third party Get It Now apps, but there is a monthly fee associated with them.

So, with great sadness, I decided this wasn't the phone for me!

I called verizon, spoke to reps and a manager to find that they have no way to cancel pre-orders!! Can you imagine that. It's just not that they don't know how, it's that it actually instructs them that pre-orders can't be canceled and you have to return the phone to get credit.

This is obviously Verizon's direct response to the iPhone...

Why on earth is the screen 7/10 of an inch smaller than the iPhone???? 7/10 of an inch is a lot! That sucks and that is a huge selling point.

I have a Treo 650 that I am ditching for this phone. Does any one know of a quick way to transfer contacts from the Treo to the Voyager or do you know if the Verizon stores can do it? Like everyone else, I have tons of contacts that I don't want to re-enter into the new phone.

Just quickly went thru the manual and it seems we can have different wallpaper, screensavers, and clocks on both the internal and external screens !!!!

Any word on what the capacity will e like on this device? I am really hoping it will be a bump up from the standard 100 or so messages....I had to delete like twice a day on the envy! One of the only pros on my q9m is pretty much unlimited inbox! :-)

Can someone tell me what the call quality is like? If I were to call my friend in San Francisco from Colorado would it sound good? Also, if I want to play Madden 08 on this phone could I? When you send a text message do you have to spell the words correct in order for it to send? How do you end a call? If I start yelling at someone on the phone and begin to curse will it bleep out my curse words? Any help on this would be appreciated because I know the phone isn't out yet, but at least 100 of you on here has to "half" it.

my ipod was recently stolen, and i was going to get a new one and then i began to wonder....

if i were to buy a 4gb mini sd card and put it in my voyager, would it be possible to utilize it as a full music player, even in the car? my friend has the iphone and he couldn't get it to play in his car via any ipod adapter or that tape adapter thing........is it possible to plug that tape adapter into the voyager? 😕

I have been told that the Pre-orders will not even ship out until the day that the phone is release. Is that true? That would mean those would did pre-orders wouldn't get theirs until after people who go into stores on the 21st to get theirs. That's pretty backwards. On top of the, the 22nd is a holiday, meaning that we'd get it Friday at the earliest. Can you find out what the real deal is one this?

Will this phone be compatible with macs? For example, will i be able to sync my iCal onto the voyager? thanks

According to the Quick Start Guide, the touch-screen locks after 14 seconds. Will it automatically unlock on an incoming call? If not, by the time you unlock it to answer you could lose the call. What about Bluetooth? I'm assuming since you don't need the touch-screen, it will answer immediately. Also, didn't see any option for turning on speakerphone. Any suggestions?

Anyone know if when you pre-order the Voyager online, does it charge your credit card when ordered or when shipped?

Phone looks pretty cool, im on the fence on the keyboard but its still nice. the menu looks pretty clean and the colors look vibrant.

id really like to see phones like this on sprint. for some reason they seem to be doing pda phones for their cdma network and the whole nextel thing seems to be seriously distracting them from the ultimate goal, making customers happy with their phones.
