AT&T Buyout/Merger

So AT&T has announced that it is entertaining offers for a buy out or a merger, It has confirmed this now, So tell me what is your best guess, Will the people who work at 3rd Party Call Centres be looking for a new job, or will the company that ends up with this in the end still use the call centres, and what's your guess for a timeline on this,

The "Same 12 people" ,.

I am really not surprised that the same 12 or so people are always on here. It seems these people don't have lives.
Try going outside once in awhile. There are millions of cell customers out there, but it's always the same people on here.
I think the reason you guys are always on here is, because nobody in your private lives cares to listen to you. Besides that, most of you, don't have the facts or just make up the facts as you see fit.
I was an ATTW customer at one time, and I can see why ATTW can't stand on their own anymore. ATTWS quality has been going down hill for years now. The worst thing ATTWS ever did, was split from the mother company. The "mother company" is doing quite well. They dropped the "dead weight" (ATTWS) ...

2 things you probably shouldnt do if you are a dealer

ok this is a story i heard a friend talking about today. he had a call and the caller was upset cuz the store rep cursed at her. she had gone to store to activate service and he told her there was not extra fees like rpf or anything like that. he put it on her contract. thats not biggie just a typical dealer lie. but to top it off he called her a few days later and told her what he had done. when she asked him why he put in on the contract he proceeded to yell at the cust saying he would loose his fing job over this and he thought she was a fing nice lady but now he knows she is a bitch. she asked for his supervisor and he hung up. every time she calls she gets him and he hangs up. he left her with his name his id and his store id. my Friend...

Points to consider for our "beloved" AWS dealers.

1) We CANNOT program a phone until it has been charged. Phones are not charged while in the box. Please advise them of this. 😡

2) Please, PLEASE...don't just add commission features to accounts without checking. I've removed like 70 of these from accounts...people in college and business people who travel don't need Wireless Office. 12yr-olds don't need Mobile Assist. They don't need cell phones, but that's another matter entirely. 👿

3) You guys have many of tools we do. For instance, you can program 1-touch VM dialling. Why not earn the cheque and help with that kind of thing that's 400% easier to do in person, rather than on the phone? 😉

Just sayin'.

Have fun w/ Cingular

Hope you all have fun with Cingular. I mean the billing conversions, buying new equipment, having no service, being forced to change your plans with renewal..I would jump ship now, and join Verizon Wireless or someone else.

AT&T Wireless sets mid-February deadline for bids
Tue January 27, 2004 07:16 PM ET

PHILADELPHIA, Jan 27 (Reuters) - AT&T Wireless Services Inc. on Tuesday set a mid-February deadline for suitors to submit final offers, dragging out the speculation over the fate of the No. 3 U.S. wireless company for another three weeks.
AT&T Wireless (AWE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) , which has a market capitalization of about $30.36 billion, said it expects firm proposals to be submitted by Feb. 13. It agreed not to forge any contract or agreement for a deal before then, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The date for final offers may change, the filing said. It was not disclosed whether AT&T Wireless would im...

Tell me if this is fair or not

A customer just recently upgraded his phone but at that time did not change his plan. Calls in after receiving the next bill with overage charges. Lets say about 50.00. CSR denies credit and customer wants to speak to a supervisor. They go to the call center supervisor and the supervisor tells the CSR that the CSR has to apply the credit. CSR refuses to give the credit because he feels its not justified. Supervisor goes and gets his supervisor and they pull the CSR into a room and lecture him to apply the credit. CSR goes back to the cust and applies the credit. Notates the acct that he was forced to apply the credit under pressure and influence from both supervisors. CSR gets in trouble. You all think thats fair? Who do you think should hav...

ATTWS Care Reps

Hey, to all of you care reps, stop telling the customer about all of the WEX P&P and about the WEX fee before we even get to them, then we get them already escalated, stop trying to do our job when you can barely do yours!!!

good customers

has anyone ever noticed that its usually the good customers who we have to or end up screwing over. its the crooks, whiners and undeserving liars that get all the credits. in the last 2 days i have had at least 4 customers who actually could use credit but none could be given under policy. it sure is easier to help someone then to turn them away.
