it's the same comments for the past 3 years i have been on this site. if you dont like apple don't buy apple. I opened the comment field for this article to see what people had to say about the nexus 5. it turned into "we hate apple and here's why." i fail to see the relevancy to the nexus 5. hence the vapidity.

 This is why I stopped caring about the comments on this site. Often times it just turns into a vapid apple, att or vzw bashing session and nothing worhtwhile is ever said.

you are correct. just att iphones. my 4s got the update yesterday and was blowing up as a result of the storms we were having at the time. i like that you can turn them off and i have yet to receive an update from our president. i'm sure he has more pressing matters to attend to.

ZING. this is true. plus tmobile's 3g and att's 3g arent compatable, so you unlock your iphone 4 and take it to tmobile and run 2g only data? you just crippled your own phone.

you make some very valid points. however, compared to the majority of the other manufacturers out there, apple is still very new to the cellular phone game. first iphone released in 2007. samsung sits easily at number 2 in market share with over 18% having been in the cellular industry for far longer. apple would be wise to release a different maybe a little more basic device, still with the app capability but focus more on call quality. that could only ...

they also have the second largest customer base in the country. that coupled with everyone wanting an iphone when they can neither afford it nor want to pay for metered data plan. I know from first hand experience that counts for a massive amount of traffic in my center. so it would stand to reason consumer reports would say that.

it's possible att is backpedaling. they originally nixed their roaming agreement with tmobile, they thought they had enoguh coverage and didnt want to continue payin tmobile everytime one of their subs used a tmobile tower. now they're kicking themselves because they're having to waive etf's for customers living in those roaming areas. i think this is a way for them to get those roaming areas back but tmobile is making them pay thru the nose for it. just one man's opinion.

again, your perogative. no offense was meant, merely commenting on your response to timmy23's post about protecting an 11 year old girl. it serves no purpose for you to take anything said in a cell phone forum personally. and take it to this extreme: "How many more conservative christian politicians have to be busted for homosexual activities with male prostitutes and meth habits before we realize that they are the problem not the people." that's the direction you go with this? ok. ...

if you dont believe my story then that's your perogative. i dont need to prove anything to you. in the case of the company solicting me products, i dont want that. but the government knowing where you buy coffee from...is that really your sticking point? i think we can choose our battles wiser than this.

you're right. i dont care. it doesnt bother me. i'm ok with this. i have nothing to hide. save my locations for two years. the government already has access to where i bank, where i live, where i work, where i spend my money. the information is there. if it will help them protect myself and my wife and help law enforcement do thier job better...so be it.

the fact of the matter is geeks is right. att is the only company with enough capital to handle a gsm to gsm transition. if tmobile would have gone under and deutsche telekom sold off the spec and towers who do you think would have gobbled them up? certainly not sprint. and we'd be in the same situation now. one major choice for gsm. and what really is astonishing is that the majority of you wouldnt be crying wolf if big red ...

in those instances, yes i have a tendency to agree. Contracts are VERY one sided. Geared toward making sure the company recoups their money and cannot be held responsible for prety much anything. but at the same timei gotta go back to the fact that customers dont have to be in contract. if they arent they cannot be held by wireless agreements. under that logic if those things happen like you were stating earlier they technically could be eligible for class action ...

ok please understand this opinion comes from a bias of never having billing issues, very rarely a dropped call and living in metro saint louis wih perfect 3g wherever i go: i dont get why consumers expect anything else when they sign a contract with a carrier. the fact is we as american consumers dont want to pay the 300-700 the manufacturer would charge for their product to be used on(insert your network here). the contract has nothing to do ...

that is appealing to me. but will i be able to move the music from my phone to an sd card to save there? that would blow if the phone got corrupted somehow and i lost all my music. also i think cust service on this will be a nightmare. i think the smaller carriers should pay a premium for their customers to be able to use a network they had no investment in. i also agree that the speeds roamers have access to shouldnt be what vzw and att customers enjoy. those two addendums i'm sure could be worked in there somehow.
