Wonderful Phone

Aug 29, 2006 by princess_phoenix

This phone is by far one of the best phones that I have ever owned!

Pros:
-Good picture quality
-Compact
-Sound is loud and clear
-Easy to operate
-Great reception
-Easy to push buttons

Best of all...it connects to my bluetooth headset right away, instead of having to go through a menu everytime I want to connect or disconnect (i.e. Motorola).

Cons:
-Cannot individualize ringtones, they have to be in a "group"
-The picture ID cannot be seen when the phone is closed

I have not quite figured out how to get directly to my text messages without going through the menu.

For me the pros WAY outweigh the cons...I am extremely happy with this phone. It is not as "pretty" as the Motorola L6 that I had, but oh boy it functions SO much better!

Uconnect

Aug 23, 2006 by Dsireme

I just got this phone last night and I think it is a decent phone. It is missing somethings I had on my Nokia 6820 but I never had time to use them anyway.

I noticed someone had said that they were able to connect to their uconnect with no problem. Mine connect also with no problem but you can't hang up. If you try to hang up on a call with the uconnect button the phone says Invalid Command (I think). So far everything else has worked fine. This is a small annoying thing. Most people hang up on their end which will hang up you and if not I just have to pick up the phone and hit end.

I just thought I would let people know about this in case this would be a decision making problem for them.

Besides that, the phone has been great.

Outstanding Phone. The Best I have ever Owned.

I had used an LG flip phone with ATT Wireless. When I moved to Cingular, I wanted a change. So I chose Samsung D357. I was very disappointed. Its Ear piece volume was very low and the menu graphics were cheesy.
It felt so bad that I sent it back right away.

I chose LG CG300 as replacement. Was very glad to see a nice phone.

Pro's:
- Very neat and simple menu graphics layout. Intuitive and pleasure to navigate.
- Good speakers and microphone. Good call quality.
- Speaker phone has good acoustics and easy to use.
- Aesthetic, Ergonomic and Effective.

Cons:
- When navigating, there is no back button. If you are inside a menu, there is no way you can step back to the previous screen. You have to hit end and go back to the main menu.
- In the outside LCD, only TIME is displayed. If you want the DATE/DAY, you have to toggle the side button.

Disappointment

I have just joined the Cingular network after leaving Verizon. I picked up the Samsung D357 for the Push to Talk feature and the only phone at the time that included Bluetooth and Voice Dialing. Within the 30 day trial period the LG CG300 came out and I was excited to hear that it had a camera included with the other features that I wanted. (So I thought.) I had LG's when I was with Verizon and I was very happy with LG than. I called Cingular the same day it came out and switched all 4 phones to the CG300.

Wow, was I really disappointed. I should have read more about them before I switched. Yes it is a Push to Talk phone and it has a camera. But, like it has been told here before, Bluetooth is only good for headsets and printiing. And no Voice Dialing option which I thought it would have had.

In my opinon, Bluetooth compatibility should be alot better than what they offer on this phone. It should be able to connect to a Bluetooth computer and another Bluetooth phone to share not only contacts, but other items too. Voice Dialing is a major issue for me for when I am driving. I know that the carriers offer it but I don't want to have to access the service and pay for something monthly when it should be on the phone already.

Maybe I am being to harsh on this review. But I have come to expect more from LG. I want "more features" on a "Newly Released" phone. Not less.

I gave it a 2.5 for the LG name, for adding a camera, and better side and top button placement. But I deducted points for the limits of Bluetooth and no Voice Dialing, no SyncML which is a standard for synchronizing personal organizer data between different devices, and no To-Do list.

Remember, this is just my opinion and review of this phone.

Only have had phone 1 day but so far I find it pretty user friendly.
Main thing I dislike very much is the display is pretty useless and not visible if you are in bright sunlight.
Speaker is loud and clear.
Bluetooth connected ok the Chrysler UCONNECT.
Phonebook easy to navigate.

LG cg300g for Net10

I love this phone and there is nothing to hate about it, it is just a simple cell phone. No camera, it is also very thin and durable. I have *gulp* dropped it once and I've had it for 1 day, by mistake and nothing ever happened to the phone. My cousin sister and I all got this phone and think it is cool. I also have the nokia 1600b for backup on the same plan. Great phones, and so basically if your kids want you to go get them a cell phone (their first phone) get them this, sweet phone and its only 10-20 bucks at any electronical store.

Well, I have had this phone for approximately a week and I am thoroughly enjoying it however the promised battery life is not living up to the expectations which were provided to me by the sales clerk at the cingular store. The sound on the phone is very nice and I love the ringtones it comes with however I am having trouble getting ringtones from my computer to my phone. The display screen is great and I really love the camera quality, its very easy to snap a picture and send it to friends! I think besides the two problems I have encountered, the phone is great. Push-to-talk is handy and speaker phone for driving. I have not yet used the bluetooth, but I'm sure that is another feature that I will love about this phone.

Im totally impressed

OMG!!! so im totally impressed...So i make it a point 2 make sure that i have the in phone n newest services cingular has 2 offer.. well i thought the push to talk by cingular n LG phone would not be good.. Well pros are it has a great camera that i liked better than the razor or nokia 6102!!! the speaker phone for regular calls is great.. crystal clear... the push to talk is in my opinion is better than nextel.. when u first try 2 beep someone there is a 2 second delay which works to your benefit like i hate how nextel people push the button n just yell whatever they want.. at least with this push to talk from cingular i can look at the phone n hurry n awnser or turn speaker off or just say what u need...I have always liked LG they always try not 2 make alot of bells n whistles in thier phones that can give someone a headache but this one is basic..it can be good or bad it depends on the person i guess ... as 4 me im glad i got it.. It is very user friendly .. i didnt need 2 use the big manual they sent just the quick look guide.. So in my opinion good job cingular n LG!!!!
