Restriction code for LG CG300 - Cingular

I gave a friend a Cingular LG CG300 cellphone. My Cingular simcard is working fine on it but hers is asking for a restriction code? Anyone knows? Need help. Thanks!

Photo Download

I'm new to camera phones. My desire is to be able to easily transfer captured images (photos) from the phone to my computer DIRECTLY. I see this phone (CG300) has Bluetooth. I do not have a "Bluetooth Printer." I can get a Bluetooth dongle adapter for my laptop computer (or desktop for that matter). Will this facilitate the file transfer I'm after? How about USB connection? Surely there is a way other than "sending" photos through the internet and racking up minutes against air time. Thanks.

External Caller ID

Can anyone tell me if this phone actually displays the caller ID on the external display. I'm debating on a new phone, and I want the ID displayed externally, but I know some phones only show time, date, signal strength, and other little icons externally...no caller ID

Thanks

LG CG300

I'm working on a multi-phone deal (3) with Cingular and I'm leaning to the LG CG300 for the following reasons: 1) Push To Talk, 2) Camera Phone, 3) Speakerphone, 4) Price ($0 migrating from AT&T).

--I need some information on the camera that I can't seem to find. 1) Is there a decent flash, 2) What zoom(s) are available to select from?

--On the Push To Talk service ($20/mo) is the coverage area the same as the phone coverage area with Cingular?

I would appreciate answers to these questions and any additional comments you may have.

PTT button

I recently purchased this phone, and like it alot, except for the push to talk button on the left hand side of the phone. It is in the exact spot that you place your hand to pick up the phone, thus it gets pressed a lot. Unfortunatly, i have no desire to use this feature, and do not want to get charged for pressing the button.

Does anyone know of a way to lock the PTT button?

Thanks 😁

Anyone Had This Problem?

Just won this phone from a Cingular contest and received it yesterday. It's alright, I guess. I've never been an LG fan though.

Problem: I don't know if this is a softwaree issue, or if LG just wasn't thinking, but this phone will only connect via Bluetooth to other Bluetooth Headsets or BT Printers, not any other devices. I checked this out with the other CG300's we have in stock at the store, and got the same result. This phone is pale in comparison with my other handsets (Nokia 6682, SE s710a, SE w600i, HTC 8125, Moto V557/V3i, Samsung D357). No matter what phone I try to connect it with, it always says no device found, unless it's a BT headset. Aside from that the lack of memory (1.2 Mb) is the only other issue I have with this.

No Voice Activated Dialing?

I just purchased this phone last night along with a $99 Motostart H700 Bluetooth Handsfree Headset.
I see no mention of voice activated dialing in the users manual. Can this be true? Why would cingular sell such a thing?

I paired the headset with the phone, but to place a call, the headset manual says to tap the call button and speak the name after the tone. Does this mean the headset will not work for outgoing calls if the phone does not have voice activated calling? Did I just spend $99 for a headset that will only work on incoming calls?

L1400 or What?

This phone looks exactly like the L1400 expect for the big speaker in the middle. I thought the L1400 was perfect expect for the reception and the lack of a speakerphone.

I just bought this phone for my lil brother and he was playing with for ten minutes and tried to set a security code on it when the SIM card locked up on him. As soon as he powers it up it says SIM card locked. It does the same when he puts the card back in his old phone. What can he do to fix this?? Thanks.

MP3 Ringtones, Better than the Razor???

I was wondering if the the LG CG300 has MP3 ringtones and which is better that or the Razor?
Also, for the group ringtones, can a group of people have different ringtones, or can the LG do individual ringtones?

stealth launch

I do not understand why LG did a stealth launch on this phone. They never told us about this phone, one day it just showed up. Thus far, most people do not like the PTT phones because of the 'no camera' feature. So far, this phone has seemed to work as good as an LG can work in teh desert southwest. LGs dont seem to fair too well on our 1900mhz system. THe speaker on this phone is BOOMING, and just really loud. the layout is nice. Hopefully, LGs in the future will be like this.

Off Network Ptt

I ready somewhere that this phone has off-network ptt like Nextel's "direct call". Basically when you don't have a signal you can still Ptt someone else that is within close proximity, it's just like wally world walkie-talkies....does this phone do that?
