Motorola RAZR V3m

recognize my v3m.

how can i get my computer to recognize my razr as the v3m not the v3c. everytime i tried to install it, it kept showing up as a v3c, and so im not able to use the music player.

*i used to have a v3c, and i would use bitpim to get my pics off my phone...if that matters*

ok nevermind that. when i go to install new hardware to get my computer to recognize my phone as a modem, it says unable to find any drivers for this device.

and thats after i ran the driver tool.

..ok i got it to recognize my phone. now when i go to "sync music" under "get tunes and tones", it disconnects from the computer, and says "connect failure. please check your cable connection to the PC."

help.

I am with Verizon and had the same problem. I called their tech support 1 800 922 0204 and found out there is a software patch on the Verizon website. I can't remember the exact steps they had me take, but it fixed the sync problem.
