Verizon Wirless banner at top of screen
I have the silver razr v3m and my phone doesn't display Verizon Wireless at the top of the screen, like i thought it was supposed to. I'm not saying it's a con, but it looks funny with that shaded bar across the screen where it normally said verizon wireless with nothing in it.

You don't say where you got the phone, and I'm no tech genius, but isn't it possible you had a sales rep/tech that is a little anti-Verizon right now, and this is their little way of sticking it to the man?

When my V3m goes into 1X from EVDO here in SoCal, it stops displaying the 'verizon wireless' banner for a while, but is still in SID #2. (not using any Sprint cell)
If I lock it into 1X and out of EVDO, it still says "verizon wireless'..

In the Settings under banner, you should see ERI banner. If that is set to "off", it won't display "VERIZON WIRELESS".

I have Wallpaper,Screen Saver, Display Themes, Greeting and home screen. Under home screen I have Home keys and banner, which I have set to my Name. Nothing like ERI options.

That is because there is no such thing in the menu. The v3m doesnt allow you to change it like that. But there is a way to change it, you need to do a seem edit. you need to edit seem 296a, record 5, and bytes 0.
