V3m 2.5mm to mini usb adaptor

I got to take a look at the adaptor, and try it out on a phone with my wired Plantronics MX-505 wind blocking headset.
It worked flawlessly.
The adaptor has a mini usb plug, a cord which leads out upward, about 2.5" long and a 'dongle' type end with the 2.5mm receptacle in it. This part is housed in an eliptical piece, about 1.5" long,3/4" wide flat on one side and rounded on the other. it could be doubleback taped to the back of the phone. I didn't get to try it out with a set of stereo headphones to see if it works with them.

Some may ask why would you care about a wired headset when Bluetooth is available. Well, Bluetooth headsets just don't seem to compare to wired headsets in many applications....

I do a lot of outdoor activities, cycling,(both mountain and road) horseback riding, etc.
Bluetooth headsets (except for the scala-500 just haven't risen to the demands of folks that are active in these type environments. Also, those who ned noise CANCELLING as opposed to wind blocking.

Wind blocking. (One example to be brief -HA!-)

Riding a road bike entails typical speeds of 15 to 20 mph, plus often some head wind. So to be usefull, a headset needs to be able to work in a 20-25 mph wind environment. There are 2 issues. One is eliminating the transmitted whistle/noise and second is the need for the reciever's earpiece to be in the ear to block out all the wind blowing over your ear!
