I'm just as anxious as the next guy to get this phone out, but here's what the CEO from Motorola just said on their call...And of course, before you ask me about Q, we are close. All I can tell you is we are in testing. I have been using it for four months -- several hundred people here at Motorola as addition to the carrier that is working with us to bring it to market. I think it's a great product. It is a cool device. I think it is going to define yet a new segment. It is way more than a smartphone. And stay tuned. We are close and hopefully we will see that very shortly. I know this doesnt help much, but given that vz will never say a thing, at least MOT will talk about it.

Doesn't VZW have the final say as to release? I see that there was FCC approval. Because of the V710 settlement - I HAVE TO do something by the end of May.

Part of me thinks the v710 settlement may actually be delaying the Q.

Verizion knows they have THOUSANDS of people who elected to use their v710 credit toward a new phone.

If you were them - wouldn't you want to release this phone AFTER the expiration date of the credit? I'm sure they don't want to lose $2xx per phone when all they have to do is wait another few weeks.

I say - there's no way you're gonna see this in time to use a v710 credit - and it's most likely intentional.

I fear that kgray is correct... here's what i plan to do if the phone is not released by the end of may...
i will purchase any phone that i wouldn't mind playing with for 13 days, and then return it for a different phone. (you get a 14 day equipment trial period) I will keep doing this until verizon finally stops trying to cheat customers by delaying the releasing of the phone. Just be careful not be damage the phones you buy in the meantime or they might give you a hard time with the return.
i hope this helps customers not get cheated by the expiring v710 credit.

Not a bad idea mgmfly.
Can you really do that multiple times?

What are the conditions of the 13 day guarantee?

sorry to disappoint but I believe the Worry Free Guarantee can only be used on your original purchase. Verizon will not continue to give you 15 days. 😢

That's funny. I was just telling my wife the same thing yesterday. It definitely seems like the v710 settlement would be the cause for the delay.
