I've read conflictly information that the Q can not do any of the edit functions...does anyone know the truth?

I havent seen a way to cut/copy and paste information. I seem to remember someone talking about a 3rd party app that would get the job done. So far, the only way Ive been able to transfer information from one program to another is by highlighting something like a phone number and pressing the select key...which brings you to a dialog which asks you if you want to save this information as a new contact. you are then given the opportunity to "paste" the selected number into any field you desire as you edit this new contact.

Shockingly, the Q does not have "cut/copy/paste" functionality.

There is a 3rd party app that enables this:

I haven't tried it yet....
I desperately need the functionality - but have just been too busy over the last few weeks to try any new apps.

Give it a shot and let us know what you think of it.

I downloaded the program, but can't figure out how to get it to copy and paste -- there do not seem to be any instructions anywhere.

I have only done this with pictures, highlight the pic, hit menu then edit the cut or copy.
