Q skin help!.. silicon and others

So I am buying a Q and was wondering what skins or cases people have found to be the best. I was really leaning toward a silicon one, but I was wondering if the case affects using the navigations buttons much? Anyone who has one and could you please let me know what you think of yours?

Also, like I said, any very slim cases that you could recommend would be helpful in case the silicon is a bad idea.

Thanks!

I have a silicon case i bought off EBAY. It works great and the navigation problems work without any problems.
The only thing I don't like about it is how it sticks to things and collects lint in my pocket. I got the white/clear version, but I would get a darker color if I got another one. Also it is not designed for the extended battery

Below is who I got it from. They got it to me very quick and really cheap. I paid $6.99 including shipping.

Thats good to hear about the navigation keys. I think I will definitely get one for how cheap they are. Anyone have some suggestions about the real cases or other alternatives in case I run into problems with the silicon?

I have the leather pouch by Motorola available @ Best Buy. It's a little bulky but does a great job of protecting the phone.

The flap shuts magnetically and it's really easy to take the phone out and put back inside. If you are looking to 'wear' the phone, then this is a good choice but if you want to throw it in a pocket, then go with the silicon case.

I have the Verizon case. Instead of putting the Q in horizontally like the Motorola case, it goes in vertically, but has a swivel belt clip. Same magnetic closure as the Motorola and works well with both the standard and extended battery. Does add a little more bulk to the phone, but I like the protection it offers when I'm out and about. I'm pleased with it.

If interested, check it out at your VZW store. They should let you test it out with your phone to see if you like the fit.

You should check out shieldzone. It's a cover that you apply, almost like a clear bra on your car. The make them for just about every phone and they are precut. It took me about 15 minutes to put mine on and protects everything but the keyboard itself. It's virtually indistructable and does not add any bulk to the phone at all. I've had mine on for about a month now and it looks great. Check out the link to see the specifics on the Q

How does the sheildzone product work? Is it a hard casing that goes on or a just a thin film, there are no specifics on the site? Thanks

It's a thin film that is applied. Go to the link and click on the link to the right that says "Demos, Vids, pictures and more". It comes with a lifetime guarantee that if the shield should ever scratch, they would replace it free. I saw a vid of a guy taking a key to the product and there wasn't a scratch on it. Their home page has more info:

Not really, you will hardly know iti on there. I usually just lock me keypad when it's in my pocket. The shortcut for that is the "home" key then the spacebar. You can still answer calls and to unlock it you just press the left soft key then the asterisk. The whole point of the invisi-shield is that you don't know it's there.

I agree with Razruzr; these things are good. I highly recommend them. However, they do add just enough bulk to keep them from seating properly in the desktop charger.
