Motorola Q
Data plan required.
I heard that if you have the Q then you are required to get a data plan, is this true?

I actually just spoke w/ VZW rep today since I want to purchase the Q. They informed me that a data plan is not required, but if you were to receive emails, etc.. You would be charged Pay as you go which apparently can get quite pricey $$$

Depends how much you use when you do Pay as You Go. It costs .01 cents per kb downloaded. On average, an e-mail is probably 10-20 kb. I do the pay as you go plan and have set up my e-mail account to where I only receieve the headers on my phone. Suprisingly, I haven't been charged for receiving only the headers of my e-mail messages. By doing that, it allows me to pick and choose what e-mails I want to open without being charged for each one.
