Motorola Q Time Zone Changing?

I just bought the Motorola Q, it is a great phone. But I have one problem, when I change time zones, the phone does not automatically change to the local time. I have to manually change the time and therefore, it changes my appointment times in my scheduler. Is there a setting for this or some time of fix? Please advise.

Thanks,

I noticed this as well. I thought it was all a bad dream, nice to see someone else's' phone doesn't automatically change time zones.

There are a lot of tech savvy people around here, hopefully one of them will have an answer.

I highly doubt that the phone "can't" do this - but rather that they intentionally chose not to enable this feature.

The key difference with this phone is that is has a full calendar functionality. Switching to a new time-zone could cause problems.

Example:
You live in NYC and have a meeting every morning at 8am. You set a "reminder" in your calendar for 5 minutes prior to the meeting (7:55am EST)

If you fly to the West Coast and the phone automatically switches the "current time" to Pacific Coast time ("GMT-8"), you will miss your meeting by 3 hours unless your appointm...

Treat your phone like your PC...coz it thinks it is one.

I travel a lot and I'm sure that most ppl who use smartphones like the Q share the same lifestyle.

Go to Settings > Clock & Alarm > Date and Time and change your time zone. I have to do it every time I land.

But remember that the Q will change all the times of your appointments as well 😉 So make sure that when you set an appointment, you set it based on your local time.
