I read on motorola's website:

(http://direct.motorola.com/ENS/q-specificati ons.asp?Country=USA&language=ENS&productid=30 419)

That there is:

Virtually unlimited address book (dependent on available memory) (this is cut & pasted directly off motorola's site. 🙂

Does anyone know how to make this a true statement. I bought a 1G memory card and I can seem to figure out how to transfer my contact list to my memory card to utilize my internal storage space for other purposes. My phone is dragging with over 680 contacts stored to the phone.

HELP! If you can.

Thanks,

Adam

I have 1400 contacts in my address book that sync between my exchange (2 desktops, 2 notebooks ), 1 blackberry and 1 Q.

The Q accepted these without problem. In addition I do not think that addresses take up more memory than say attachments, multimedia.

This is not based on specs, just my use and observation.

Agreed.
I have over 1,000 contacts in the Q right now (most with 3-4 phone numbers, e-mail, and notes) and I have not noticed any lag in performance.
