Extended battery

Did anyone purchase the extended battery? They have a great deal for a limited time through Verizon right now. It appears that it comes with a new batter cover. How much extra bulk does this battery add?

It is a great deal for 20 bux. The phone feels twice as heavy with it installed, but it is a necessity if you make a lot of calls and/or receive a lot of data. I lost one bar through Saturday's use. Whereas, my phone died after a full Friday's use at about 7:00 p.m.

Is the $20 extended battery in the stores or only online?

It's available both online and in stores.

The store where I bought my Q said it was 59.99 or something like that. Of course I don't think he scanned the box before telling me. I'll have to check again cause $20 is a great deal.

It's not too bad.
It definitely adds to the profile a bit -but it's still a damn thin phone - even with the extended battery installed.
I got two of them (b/c they were so damn cheap).

I haven't used them yet, so I can't tell you about life - but I can say that it does not make the phone too obtrusive witin it installed, and it only makes 1/2 of the phone thicker b/c battery door only covers 1/2 of the height.

Not all of the reps at the stores read their emails regarding available promotions. If you ask about the promotion and they dont know about it tell them to use discount code 92 and they'll understand.

I just got mine today. The rep didn't know anything about it. He couldn't even believe that I had a Q already since today was the "official" release day. 🤣

If I didn't know they were selling for $20, he would have tried to sell it to me for $59.99.

Just an update on this - when I wrote my first response, I hadn't yet used the extended battery enough to comment on the life.

After going away last weekend and using my phone heavily - I can now say that the extended battery is a "must have" for this phone.

The standard battery will last the day - but most likely not a 2nd day. As a matter of fact - even in 1 day of heavy usage - you probably will need to recharge.

The Extended Battery lasts a good 2-4 days with a good amount of usage. Also - I really don't mind the extra weight / size - it's not a big deal.

My game plan is as follows:
Use the extended battery as my new "every day" battery, and only use the "standard" battery for night time and social functions when I want to...

Anyone have a problem with their extended cover fitting sloppy? I have went to 2 stores and they grabbed another cover, but same fit? Maybe Im being too picky, but you can actually rattle the cover.
