VZW interface?
Does the Q have a motorola interface or that vzw interface? I really do not care for the vzw interface so that is why I am curious because it would truly make my decision of whether i would get it or not...
thanks alot

Well- the first level "Start" menu is fine - looks just like windows.
But - the drill down menus (ie: settings) are all broken into lists of 5 items, with "more" at the bottom". It's annoying to have to keep hitting "more" to get to the next screen.
I've got to imagine some genius at Verizon put that one together.... I think I've seen it on other VZW phones.

You don't have to select the more button to get through the menus, you can use the D-Pad or the Scroll wheel and it works perfectly.

Not true.
Do this:
Goto "Start->Settings"
Your first screen will show:
A Call Options
B Sounds
C Profiles
D Home Screen
E Clock & Alarm
F Connections
G More....
If you use the thumb-wheel or the D-pad, you just go from A-G and then back to A again, but the choices do NOT change.
In order to get to the next screen, you must hit "G More". Only then will you see:
A Security
B Remove Programs
...... (and so on)
G More
Then you need to hit "G More" on that screen to get to the next set of options.
That's silly .... they should have just made a list of A- Z that you should quickly scroll through.
I'd be willing to bet that this was a Verizon request. I can't see Microsoft doing something tha...

My mistake, I thought you were referring to the Start Menu Items. The Settings menu is setup this way, and it is a pain.

thats a windows mobile thing it has nothing to do with vzw. they only thing they added was there own home screen layout. which I actually prefer compared to the others listed.. VZW did a good job not messing with this handset

You don't have to hit "G - MORE" to get to the next set of options...... you can just hit the "right" directional key - which shows you the next set. Then, use the up/down keys to scroll.
Works a little better than having to always hit "MORE"

No, it's the standard Windows Mobile Smartphone interface, which is nothing like the Verzion interface.
