Intial thoughts on 950
Just got the 950 as a replacement for my second 8100 (volume bug). Here are my initial thoughts compared to the 8100, in the short time I've played with it. I know some of these have been mentioned already.
Positives: đ
-Great sound quality
-Speaker phone is loud and works great even when closed.
-Menu similar to 8100 (I think that's standard now)
-Feels less bulky than 8100 (love the internal antenna)
-Camera - my opinion is that its quality looks better than the 8100, however I don't think the flash is as good.
-Inside display is bright and crisp
-Signal seems stronger so far (haven't tested it at home yet where I've had problems with other phones except the 8100)
-Phone book shows pic with persons name

Your wallpaper has to be resized to 176x184 to fill up the whole main screen. The outer screen must be resized to 176x132.
The 64 ringtones thing is being misunderstood, it plays 64chord ployphonic ringtones. That's a good thing đ

Can you tell me how to re-size my pictures so that they fill up the entire screen? I don't see that in any of the display/pix options.

I got excited when I first heard about this phone. It still seems like a good phone, but there are a few nagging things that keep me from even considering it.
1. The Transflash (now MicroSD) deal. Why the heck do companies think we need 3,278 different flash memory formats? Isn't MiniSD small enough for a cell phone? I hate that MicroSD just recently got to 512MB, meanwhile I already have 1GB MiniSD for my 8100 and 2GB will be out before too long.
2. Outside screen quality. IMO Samsung traditionally has awesome quality built into the LCD's on their phones, take the 890 for instance (I'm even looking at Samsung for a 40" LCD TV). Then this phone comes out with an exterior screen, that while better than the 710/815 (not hard to do) is in...

I paid the exact same thing for the A950 as i did for my 8100. I had the 8100 for about a week and then decided to switch. It's actually 50.00 cheaper right now because i got a 100.00 mail in rebate with the A950 instead of the 50.00 one i got with the 8100.
