I've had it! Forget the 6102, I'm going 6230....

Like so many of you, I have been eagerly been awaiting the 6102. After delay, after delay, I'm now looking at the 6230. I can't really find any features that I would miss out on. Is it just me, or is this a fair/equal trade off? I don't really need the flip!

I think I'm going to "flip off" the 6102!

what do you all think?

need a pencil to push the buttons?
(the best candybar phone otherwise)
You cannot beat memory FM, memory card/MP3 player and megapix camera)

supposedly going to be carried by Cingular starting in a few weeks. check the 6230i forum. the "i" version is a definite upgrade. I'm seriously looking at it as well. much more feature packed phone than this flip.

Candy bars suck! Sliders and flips are the way to go. But u maybe right on this lackluster 6101 flip. NO flash on the camera for instance.

I currently have the 6230 (Cingular) - same body as 6230i - and I HATE how small, shaky and inconvenient the buttons are. Is this phone for kids?
I had flips and candybars before and this one is the most inconvenient of them all since the beginning of the cell-phone era. Even though I have the decicated button the middle of four-way thing, which wasn't there in the original phone (howstupid is that?) I bough the faceplate in Hong Kong that had the button there….The new “i” version of this phone does have the button in the middle, I guess they have gonned lot’s of complaints. Rightfully so – it was madness to get to push it down and not to the side. And if you operating the gadgety part of this phone (what this phone is good for) – this is ...
