Surprising
The 850 version of the phone is out (Rogers, Cincinati Bell), yet none are on eBay yet.
My v551 is crapping out and I'm dying to pick up this phone...even at a no-renewal price with Cingular.

The one I sent (eBay number) is 850 although it does not say it in the description. It is Rodgers phone and they use only 850/1900 in Canada.
Ask seller a question - you'll know the answer.
If you want a phone for Cingular, unlocked AND in 6101 body, with nice convenient big buttons (!!!!), and you want it NOW - this IS IT.
You can also call the seller and ask him a question, his CANADIAN phone number is in the at the end of description - in payment description area. These phones are Rodgers stock.
(the best kept secret of this group is out)

You were right. I just talked to the guy, and subsequently bought the phone. My v551 is crapping out, so this was damn good timing, and cheaper than I could get, say, a RAZR or s710 on ebay.
...
And anyone who takes the time to read this thread, the guy has MORE 850MHZ 6101 PHONES. Just use the item number to track 'em down.

I've been waiting for the american version of the 6101 unlocked, but I have a brand new 6230 (that i am willing to sell) and I want the 6101 instead.
Is the Rodgers unlocked 6101 the same as the american version would be (besides 850)?
...

I will let you know once it gets here.
