Why Wont It Play My MP3 Ringtones?

I added an mp3 file to the phone (copied it from the memory stick to the phone's memory). I can play the file on the phone just fine when I view my files, so I know it's on there. But if I set the file as the ringtone, it doesn't work. It SAYS the file is the ringtone when I got into my settings, but when someone calls, it doesn't play it. It reverts to one of the default cingular tones that came on the phone.

I thought maybe the file was too big, so I tried with a 5 second mp3, as an experiment, and got the same result. For some reason it just doesn't like the MP3's I'm adding. It will play them from the file list, and it will show them as the ringtone if I set it, but it won't play them for a real call.

hmm thats strange..it should work with any length mp3 file..mine works fine..u might want to delete them and try reloading them onto your phone. if it continues and if u r sill under 30days take it back..if not do a warranty exchange
