I am going to get this phone and would really like some true feedback from people who actually have and use this phone. How durable is this phone. How loud are the ringers on this phone. How does the " speaker phone" sound on this phone sound- clearity. How do the pics and vids turn out on the phones camera. How is the battery life- both talk time and stand-by time. And the signal strength on this phone. That is all my questions for. Thanks for everybodies help.

ive been using this phone for a while now and have a good insight on the phone. To me the phone is durable and well built. Its kinda big but u get used to it. The speakerphone sucks..its not that clear and unlike the nokias. The pics/vids r very good for a 1.3 mp phone. The battery will last for 3 days if u dont play with the camera and mp3 and go on the net alot. but if u do like me i use the phone for 2 full days and i have to charge it. Signal is good in LA area.

I love this phone, i use it to tether to my laptop for sorta fast internet access.
the battery sucks! 😲
the speaker phone is OK, can't use while driving, but ok for quieter times.
Camera is good for a phone, cool factor is HIGH 🙂

The Battery: It's not a deal killer for me, just an irritant. If you buy extra chargers, one for home, one for work, and one in the car NO problem. I can go 4 days between charging if I don't use the internet too much, and only have a couple of shortish phone calls per day.
The cool factor seems to beat the short battery time. 😎 The quality of the phone calls is also an irritant, I've heard that Sony is never as good as Nokia, and I'd say this is true in my experience, but I don't think vie ever dropped a call or misunderstood anyone, it's just not as clear as my old Nokia.

I had so many issues with it, Cingular swapped it for brand new RAZR, so I got real lucky with that.

I had a silver one as well as the s710. There is absolutely no question which the better PHONE is. The RAZR blows it away.

You missed the operative word. I said PHONE. It's one of the best built phones on the market. I've read some of your posts on other forums. I know your knowledge is very limited.

Hands down, the RAZR is a better PHONE. I have both, so I can make a fair comparison. Until you own both, you can't.

I have had the phone since launch day. The ringer on the phone is ridiculously loud. It even has a warning when you turn the ringer up that it could damage hearing. MP3 transfer was easy on bluetooth for ringtones. But you do have to put the file into sounds and not on the memory stick duo.

Speaker phone is nothing spectacular. But with a bluetooth headset the phone is amazing. I am using both a motorola hs810 and the Oakley RAZRWIREs.

Now for the real reason you should look into this phone is the technology that is packaged along with it. The bluetooth is above and beyond any other phone I have owned (mpx220, v551, v600). It actually has a remote for media player and desktop applications. Using the crosspad to control your on screen...

I've tried to sell you mine with the updated software which has 3 hours of talk time. You don't seem very interested.

Im sorry, i am new to bluetooth, and i went to compusa.com, and i can only seem to find usb attachments.

the closest i can find is this:
http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pro ... »

but it has nothing that says i can use my phone as a mouse, is that just an aplication thats on the phone, or do i need to buy a specific item.

here's one today at woot:
http://woot.com/ »

any will do, just a usb bluetooth adapter.

Now, it sometimes takes a couple tries to get it to work, but never more than 3 attempts, and when its Identified as a device, it stays good throughout the duration of use.
I don't know if that is typical of Bluetooth problems or specific to this phone.

It's specific to this phone. My Moto's and Nokia's always connect the first time. I have the D-Links BT dongle. The BT connectivity on this phone is more bark than bite.
