Does anyone know if I need to buy the dongle for handset manager to work? Why would the bluetooth version need a dongle if I already have bluetooth (other than getting HW revenue - which I would gladly cover in software). I am getting multiple entries synching to outlook so am looking for a better synchronization manager.

thx

Yes, you do have to buy their BT receiver. The software download is free. I downloaded it & tried to use it with my Belkin BT adaptor, but to no avail. Upon opening the program, it immediately starts looking for THEIR BT adaptor & will accept no other. Sounds crummy to me.

The only reason that there is such a buzz on PS about this god-forsaken program is b/c someone who works for the company mass-posted a lot of the exact same bs in pretty much every forum he visits in effort to drum up business.

I haven't read any posts yet from anyone who REALLY uses the program (and, of course, doesn't work for the manufacturer/distributer). I'm curious to hear what people think of it AFTER using it, as opposed to all the pre-usage fuss tha...

Yes it will work with the S710a. The only thing that wont work is the Infrared Suite, as for data cable and Bluetooth, those 2 will work! 😁

Don't SE has its own program to transfer files via BT, cable or IR? Its posted on their website correct? What would the program be called? So that way, I will know for sure which one it is, since I DL most of the ones on their website but haven't tried it yet though.

yeah, make sure your phone's memory space is big enough before you do anything, or it will damage your phone though...HandsetManager is offering MP3 clip function that means you can even cut and select the part you like to upload to the phone and set as a ringer.

How is iTunes going to "damage your phone"??? I too use iTunes to edit MP3's to create custom ringtones. Theoretically, if I use up all 160mb of storage on my phone, and then try to transfer a ringtone to it that there is not room for, it will NOT damage anything. The phone will just say "insufficient storage".

iTunes will also edit mp3 files into clips for ringtones. You can choose the start/stop times down to the millisecond...
