Am I the only one frustrated with this phone?

OK - so i was like many of you waiting for this phone and was totally phsyched when I got it. I was willing to overlook the slowness of the interface and a couple of the other minor issues.

But I am getting ever frustrated with the following issues...

Bluetooth not stable - shutting down on its own lass than 10 seconds after beeing turned on

Data communications issues - I am now on my third issue with the WAP/MMS stuff just stopping to work and I need to play with settings and such to get it working again. (Getting Wrong Internet Account Errors)

I really want to like this phone, but am I the only one who feels like this phone was not quite ready to ship?

i had some delivery areas when i was out of my home area, but now that i'm home it seems to work fine. also, sometimes my bluetooth turns off, but i just turn it on again and it works fine.

overall the phone has been working great, the only thing i've seen seems to be a cingular deal. the first MMS messages i was sending was sending the high-rez pictures and now it's sendin thumbnails to the recipiants. kinda weird, but oh well ☹️

all in all, I LOVE THIS PHONE

hmm i myself have issues with this phone myself.. as for my bluetooth and mms i have no issues what so ever.. the only thing in that area that pisses me off is i cant send picture emails.. or atleast not that i have found..all the other phones right out of the box the email worked but not this one.. the swival for me right knwo i think is still my bigest issue trying to overcome.. i also like the moto text input program better.. i like it that it saves common words and it fills in the space after the 3rd charecter or letter..
i still love the phone but i will get something else as soon as i find it

You can save words on Sony Ericsson's as well.

When you enter in a word thats not in there yet, scroll back on it, it'll say "Spell Word". Then click on it, it'll then say "Add Word", click on that and wala, your word is saved! 😁

I too am having problems with the same messages. anyone know how to tweak the internet settings? or is it a cingular problem. Sorry, I just switched over from sprint and do not know how the internet works on this phone. Sprints was easier to get online.

And more difficult to pay for, too, I imagine. 🤣

And even more difficult to get any service period!

I think what he meant to say is that it was easier to get online IF you're in the servide area to even get online. 🤣

I can't send MMS because when I try to sign up it says my phone isn't compatible, but I assume that's just Cingular being behind and not having correct information in their own database.

I can't get gmail to work, either, but I've heard that's a gmail problem so I can't really blame the phone for that.

Other than that I haven't had any problems at all. I use Bluetooth daily to synchronize with my office and home PCs and it has never disconnected.

I send mms messages all day long without issue so it's not a cingular (company-wide) problem but just your area.

Hrm, that's annoying.

Guess I'll have to take it down to a store and see if they can tell me why it won't work.

My plan doesn't have a "bucket" of SMS/MMS attached, could that be the problem? I just assumed there was a "no plan" cost for MMS just like there is for SMS ($0.10/message).

My girlfriend has an x427m and she used to not be signed up for MMS, when she wasn't signed up for MMS she could not get them nor recieve them. But once I signed her up for MMS she received and sent them without a problem. If that helps any 🙂
