Has anyone gotten the s710a to connect to your computer and gotten EDGE data speeds from it? I used the Sony Mobile Networking Wizard and it wont connect. The settings i used are

phone number: *99***#
username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
password: CINGULAR1
apn: wap.cingular
CID: 01

any suggestions?
when I had the v551 i got it to work and it was cool so I cannot wait to get the s710a to work.

Good to hear you got it, even though my info didn't help, it's important that you got it.

As for the EDGE, I have no idea. Have you checked Cingular's EDGE coverage maps?

yah, you forgot a number 1-3 when you stated what settings you were using. I have EDGE in my area and pull 80-90kbps surfing, 11-12KB/sec dl'ing stuff. browsing off of a cell phone is kinda weird, cause there is about a 800ms delay, and it seems load pages in big blocks. overall, it's not a bad experience, just kinda weird.

Is this how you got it working???

-Pair your phone.
-On Bluetooth Neighborhood, discover, the device, then discover available services.
-One of the services the laptop will find is Dial-Up Networking. Right-click on the icon, then hit "Connect" on the context menu.
-If all is well, you will get the same DUN we used to see in the modem days. Fill in with User:ispda@cingulargprs.com
Password:CINGULAR1
Number:*99***3#
-Hit the Dial button.
