I am not familiar with the s700 so heres my question.

can you access your phonebook from the external buttons or does the phone have to be fully open to access the phonebook to make calls?

i'm guessing the voice dialing will work while its closed, but how about accessing the phonebook?

Dont own the phone, but Ive heard this talked about too many times. 😉 You can access the phonebook with it closed. The keys are only there basically for dialing, typing, and gamine (I think).

jon your 100% right.. u can do anything pretty much with the phone closed.. answer it , access the phone book and dial a #, read text/emails everything.. the only reason u need to open it for is if u need access to the keys and that is only for adding contacts, text messaging/emails,games etc..
