I know we're all waiting for this phone, so I did some good by posting the "Just Wondering" thread to hopefully get people's minds off the phone, false claims, and the anxiety of it not being out yet and it seemed to work, so I'm taking another stab at it...
What is your favorite show of all time and why?
I would have to say mine was Beavis and Butthead. The reason being overall is that there was no limitations to their stupidity. Those guys would do anything without giving it a second thought, and regardless of how stupid or how bad it was, they never knew. It's not that they didn't care, they just didn't know.

yeah, Beavis and Butthead is a great show and it is really funny, but my favorite show is definatly Nip Tuck, i watched the first seasion in and was totally addicted, then the seccond seasion came out and again i was addicted, that show really reaches the boundrys of "realy life". anyways i reccomend everyone go buy seasion 1 on dvd(seasion 2 not out yet) and watch it in one day, you'll be dying to see the seccond seasion, i gaurentee it. (sorry for all the spelling errors)

Yes, Beavis and Butthead was a great show. I love the episode where Butthead is choking on the chicken wing. Beavis calls 911 and the lady asks "Have you heimlicked (sp?) the victim?" to which he replies "Have I licked his rectum? No way!" That just killed me.
Despite that, I still think nothing beats the Simpsons. That would be my favorite.

Haha! Man, I almost forgot about that episode! That one was hilarious as well. I love it when Butthead tries eating another chicken nugget even though he's choking but it ends up falling out of his hand.

the simpsons and seinfeld are super close to the best shows of all time, due to the creativity and consistantly good episodes, true. but cmon, something new, fresh. we're not talking life time achievement awards, this is spur of the moment.

Funny you should ask. I had a similar conversation with a friend about the differences between a geek and a nerd.

AH, don't worry. geek isn't a bad term. These days there are a lot more geeks than non-geeks.
Nerd on the other hand I find less favorable. Don't ask me to define that since the conversation with my friend was deep into an evening of bar enjoyment, so I don't exactly recall it.

Amen! My house is like the pound for computers these days. Anything no one else wants - I take and find a home for. I've donated 4 Sun Sparc's to a friend which he's using now as a cluster, a couple older PII boxes for people who didn't have a computer and I try to keep the collection I use to a minimum. Current is my desktop Athlon 3000+, a powerbook g4, a athlon 1800+ in a shuttle as a file server and a small appliance box that functions as firewall.
Oh, and i've got a mini-itx board which is going into the current case mod toy.
