Im not believing a single thing anymore...

I'm not believing anything anyone says anymore about release dates or any speculations, I'll believe it's out when I see 😳 that it's out.

People come on here claiming they know everything left and right, not everyone does, but a very select few do, and they come here claiming they know, but without a single thing to back up their claim. What good is that?

Im not pointing fingers at anyone particular, but calling a Cingular store and asking them is as useful as a one legged man in an ass kicking conest, cause they'll all tell you a different story, maybe some of th em are right, maybe not. I'll believe it when I see it.

Im not pointing fingers or calling anyone names. If the rest of you or however many of you decide to believe...

On this site and I think Sony Ericsson's it says the highest it goes is 128mb, the S700i is also 128mb max.

I'm hoping, though doubtful, the the delay was because of upgrades to the firmware to support memory stick duo pro, which is 128mb+, up to 1gb.

Oh, the highest memory stick duo is 1gb, yes. The highest the S700i supports is 128mb. It most likely will be the same for the S710a, but I'm hoping not. 1BG support would be cherry.

Where did you see larger than 128mb duo? Very interesting....makes it more likely that a firmware update would allow larger.

They're all over the website and I've seen them in magazines and wherever else I can think of, here's a quick link I found on the net...

That's PRO. Slightly different.

I think anything above 128MB's is labled as PRO.

That's why I said 128mb is max for Mem. stick Duo - anything over is duo Pro and not supported.

Okay, I got confused when you asked where I saw larger than 128 memory stick duo. Meaning like a 1GB Memory Stick Duo (No PRO)... Which that doesn't exist. Unless you add the PRO, which you already know of course (wow this is starting to sound gay with all the rhyming lol). But yeah, just a little confusion, thats all.

No ****, right? If I need therapy this phone's going to be the reason! Either that or Cingular/Sony Ericsson, someone better answer to that! And pay my bill! 🤣

That would rock if that was the reason for the delay. I'd be very pleased

I agree. If you look back people have said that the phone was already in the warehouse and that it'd be out before New Yrs, etc.

The largest Mem stick duo is 128mb I believe. Anything larger is duo 'pro' which the phone doesn't support.

Hi,

I can definitely understand where you're coming from. This is my second day on the board, so I am completely unaware of what the talk has been in the past about the phone. My apologies for coming on the board with so much excitement about it. I am sure you are just as anxious as myself to get this phone.
I have been calling everywhere Cingular has a store, office, etc. trying to get info.
My last call was to their sales office where the gentleman gave me all the specs. about the phone(like I didn't know already) and said they were getting the phone, but of course they don't know when....he said a month, another store rep said Feb.
Nobody knows....at this point, I am just glad Cingular knows they are in fact getting it...I am so wil...

I understand you just came to the board and you honestly dont need to apologize, its understandable that you havent read some of the past threads. If you have you'd see that there have been like, who knows how many speculated release dates.

I appreciate you giving us the info and all, and I wasnt pointing the finger at you or anyone inparticular, I was just stating in general. Like lostboyvall said, when the phone is out, it's out. That's all there is to it.

No harm done, no need to apologize.

And, welcome to the boards! 😁
