It's all personal choice. Of course some might think SE sucks but there is alot that don't. For me i love SE.For the smart phone question, NO it is not a smartphone..

This C|net article I read refers to it as a smartphone. Honestly, I don't know the difference.

it is a smart phone in that it has features far above most all others, but it isnt like a pda like most smart phones are. it has a normal keypad and limited memo/scheduling capabilities.

I don't think it's quite correct for them to call it a smartphone. It's a very high-end, feature-rich phone, but it lacks too much of the PDA-like flexibility of a true smartphone. For example, it doesn't run Symbian, PPC, PalmOS, etc., so the number of add-on programs is fairly limited. It also lacks things like built-in agenda software to do this on its own.

Still, it does cover some of the same ground as a smartphone, so the lines are getting kind of blurry these days.

This is a "smart phone" but its not a smart phone in the sence that it doesn't have a universal operating system and may be lacking processor power compared to other phones, but this is a really high end phone and is far from just an ordinary phone.
