Cracked Faceplate :(

I dont understand. I have been so careful with my phone, I have never dropped it, and still I can see a tiny crack on my faceplate; it is so tiny you could barely see it, but still WTF??? I looked my friend's and she has the same crack on the faceplate but she has dropped it a few times...

Where on the faceplate is the crack? Is it where the bottom half and top half of the phone meet when it is open? (sort-of at the "pinch" point)
