are you able to change the face plate on this phone. if you are how do you do it?? thanks for you help

Technically this phone does not have interchangable faceplates. If you DO change them out you will void your warrenty.
There are companies out there that have made faceplates that might fit on the 551. You will just have to look around.
There are 4 screws hidden under 4 rubber stoppers on the inside of the faceplate (where the LCD is). Just pry those out and unscrew to get the faceplate off.
