Unlocking V551(subsidy code)
I work for Cingular for the past 4 years and this V551 was unlocked for awhile and now is locked. Cingular won't release the subsidy codes to us either. I am in need to unlock 2 phones for use overseas since the ones i sold were locked and i hadn't known it was changed to locked. I've tried to find out the codes, but I have been unsuccessful. Anyone who has a clue where to get the code (not an unlocked version) please let me know.

As far as I know they are actually IMEI specific. If it needs to be unlocked for international use, then you can call customer service and if your tenure and/or credit rating is good enough they'll add the required features and either get you to tech to get the unlock codes or call you back in 24-48 hrs with the unlock code.

Well the thing is, they dont give out the unlock code regardless since they would rather you get on there roaming packages. Bastards! My customers aren't 6 months into the contract yet to even do that which is the waiting period to get international roaming allow. These phones were unlocked the first couple shipments, but then some reason they decided to lock them up. Without us knowing of course so i sold a few telling them they were unlocked.
